Please may I join for March? I've started taking photos today of things to pop onto ebay to start shifting the pile of things sitting in the 'to ebay/car boot' room. I'm going to aim for 50 things to be decluttered out of my house this month!0

Ziggy - how can ditching 138 pieces of clutter be failure!
You should be chuffed! :T
I only managed 52 in January but 219 in February. March will probably be a slower month too as there are no school holidays. I should think that some months will be better than others for most of us - the important thing is that we keep going!
Have a great decluttering month everyone!
Thank you for your support, was just having a down day yesterday. Haven't managed much today either but I have been completing an application form for another job I've seen, but I do I can DO it, I really believe this is my year.
Good luck all, keep up the great work :TGoodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75

Stopping the decluttering for today as HM is home from work in an hour and I am going to make dinner and sit for a while this evening.
Today I have managed -
1. decluttered all kitchen worktops, threw out alot! Moved half empty boxes and bottles of herbs etc into new containers and bleached everywhere! Cleaned microwave and cooker top (need oven cleaner to do inside which I plan on doing tomorrow)
2. Sorted out the large overdue pile of post and papers on dining room table, lots now to be filed!
3. Put 3 new items on my album in the for sale site on facebook.
4. Arranged the collection of 1 sold item from facebook.
5. recycled half a wheelie bin of paper waste!Life is what you make it.0 -
March mayhem begun:
1 empty medicine boxes recycled
2 plastic spoons binned
3 gingerbread men mix used up, cooked and eaten
4 soya products given to vegan friend as turns out dd is intolerant to that as well as dairy grr
5 wood glue returned to rightful owner.
6 toddler trainers too small in cs box
I figure if I aim for 5 a day, like my fruit and veg lol, I should do ok...
I want to sort my kitchen cupboards this month, that's my main focus.
Happy ditching, all

Just wanted to wrap up with February totals, before I start again.
21. Bag of carrier bags taken to supermarket recycling point
22 - 23. Magazines recycled
24. Body moisturiser thrown away as was ancient and had gone watery
25. Cardboard box recycled
I am hoping to do better this month. A CD/DVD sort out is much needed. I will try and sell what I no longer want and I will get the borrowed items watched/listened to and returned to their owners. I also have items that have been sat around for ages that I know I want to sell, but realistically won't sell on Ebay due to excessive postage/size etc. This month I will try FB selling group or local paper to get rid of these.
Ins so far have been three library books and an mp3 player. I am delighted with how small the mp3 player is and how wonderful it will be to use it for exercise (can clip it to clothes leaving hands free) and just to be able to carry it round (previously would have had to carry personal CD player and how ever many CDs I felt like carting round with me!) The wonder of small things!0 -
