NOOOOOO don't let it get quiet! I want to start with this challenge..March will be my first month...

My partner & I have just split up (after 12 years) I'm back home with my poor long suffering Mum and I've got a 100 square foot storage unit to empty....I really do need the motivational help with this one. It's going to be really hard letting go, and I can't allow my hoarding to take over my Mums house :(

Well done, and good luck with keeping it that way!

Today I was off work so made a last effort at getting rid of the 100 in Feb.

    (85) I cleared the big pile of newspapers, leaflets and mags from beside the couch - recycling
    (86) mail from hall table - filed/recycled
(87-90) 4 ornaments - CS, including 2 that my sister bought me years ago because she thought they would be 'useful', lol, isn't the point of ornaments that they are not useful, apart from to collect dust? They're not something I would have chosen so finally decided to get rid.
    (91) 3 more dried up pens - binned
    (92) odd towel - CS
    (93) toy dog -CS
    (94) 2 videos - CS
    (95) colouring roll toy - CS
(96-98) 3 large jigsaw puzzles- CS
    (99) 2 books - CS
    (100) 2 erasers - CS

I've also got 6 used envelopes to take in to work tomorrow, binned a few random bits of carp, and mended 4 pairs of OH's socks which are now back in the bedroom, where they should be, instead of chucked in a pile beside the couch!

    Ditch 100 in February 100/100!

After DS throwing up everywhere his pillow didn't survive the wash, so that's me at my 100, complete yesterday. Yaay.

Count me in for march I've more to ditch!

Am determined to get rid of that baby carseat... Might be going to charity shop. It's huge and would free up some lovely space.

Might also chit some spuds to plant out lol can I count those even though they will be making more spuds???

Please don't go quiet I'm only just beginning my decluttering.
My total for February was 40/100 ,but as I only started on the 21st February I'm really pleased.
Lots more to go aiming for 100 items again in March, that's only between 3 & 4 items a day.
If my decluttering for March could just involve sorting paperwork that would make such a difference.

I think I will have some aims for March.

1 - file 100 pieces of paper already in the house
2 - deal with the post each day - file shred or bin
3 - keep the dining room table free of piles of paper
4 - do not put paper/ toys /stuff that has accumulated in the lounge/ dining room/ kitchen into a carrier bag when expecting visitors, put it away properly

    That will do for starters

Happy declutterin to everyone for March

Ziggy - how can ditching 138 pieces of clutter be failure!
    You should be chuffed! :T

I only managed 52 in January but 219 in February. March will probably be a slower month too as there are no school holidays. I should think that some months will be better than others for most of us - the important thing is that we keep going!

Have a great decluttering month everyone! :)
