Decluttering 2012, this year, definitely ...

A slow start today as not feeling too great. Hoping to get more done when kids go to bed.
So far I have rehoused a bag of wool to my sister and found 5 kids backpacks for charity collection for african schools.
I am trying to get kids to sort through their plethora of cuddly toys!!
I also want to go through all the kids DVDs to see which ones dont get watched so they can be sent to charity shop, and which ones are too scratched to watch, so they can be thrown out.
Half way through sorting the washing and putting away of clothes.
Listed a few more items on ebay last night and really need to list some more.
Will report back later if I make any progress

Wow what are you selling if you dont mind me asking? Or just things in general?
Congratulations on the new job.
I have two business accounts on Ebay and buy and sell for a living. One account is for selling new items, and the other is for antiques / collectables. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Eeeeek need to tell you my news as I actually feel like I've gotten to know you over the last month, just been for an interview for the cleaning job and I start monday!!!! YAY :j:beer::T only 6-7 hours a week but at £7 an hour thats at least £42 a week more than nothng I'm currently getting!
Off to have a celebratory declutter
Well done to you!! Thats amazing xIve got more than 50 pairs of socks!!!
Ha ha, me too. I'm slightly obsessed with socks!beadgirl87 wrote: »cat04 and catslovelycats, thanks for the advice, it would be easier if I had 2 unhappy people. I have no replies from anyone yet so will have to wait until tomorrow. I guess if person 2 wants to keep their wrong dvd, then I will have to just refund person 1 and say sorry, as I havn't got the right dvd to give her. Should I go to a 2nd hand shop and buy a copy to then send to her? Or just cancel the lot?
I feel so daft.
I have definatly sent both films, because they are from the same franchise, and I remember thinking, I must not mix these up as I package them! Also they are not in the ebay box anymore.
What dvd was it? and how much did it sell for? maybe someone has one they want to declutter going to a CS or someone might know where you can get one cheaper than they've bought that you could get and send.Sealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Jess1011 well done with the job, Thats great :T.
I have done a little more sorting.
Have ditched a DVD player, boom box, toaster and kettle, all for scrap man.
Have managed to get kids to part with a black bag of cuddly toys. some will go to charity shop, others on Ebay.
Daughters room now looks lovely again for 1st time since xmas. Couldn't face doing DVD sort out tonight, it will only make me mad at how much money has been wasted.
Not alot happening on my items on ebay. Some have got a while to go as on 10 day auction. Hope it improves though as I,m trying to get £2012 in 2012 too so could use any extra cash whilst decluttering.

First item of February to the charity shop - a book I've just finished reading and won't read again. I'm not managing to find the time to declutter during the week so I'm hoping to have a good go at the weekend. This will only work if I stay away from the cheapy bookshop though! If I don't, I'm likely to bring home more than I declutter!
Thank you to everyone who posts - it really helps to see what you're all managing to achieve
