Decluttering 2012, this year, definitely ...

Not a great deal of decluttering going on here in Evolution Cottage. Motivation seems to have taken flight. I have set my target at 15 minutes every day. I have spent the past 2 days thinking about where to start!
On a more positive not, my presentation on decluttering was well received.
Have a great day all

Take it, one drawer at a time, one cupboard. If you look at the overall picture it will probably overwhelm you. Had notification on Tuesday that a company would be coming on Friday morning to repair the windows that were installed about 18 months ago.
 OMG they're coming on Friday
 I'm at work all day Thursday
:eek:My desk's next to the window in one room and the stock for the vintage fair on 4th Feb is by the other set of windows
 Yes, the windows need repairing after 18 months
Anyway, you get the picture:rotfl:
I'm sure I can find more than 10 items from rearranging that lot; one of them is the bathroom cabinet which we've decided to do without . It's been in the hallway for the last week!‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Managed to get the contents of 2 bedside drawers into 1 yesterday, then the empty one now has my nightwear in it, making more room for clothes in my other set of drawers - result!
So quite a few bits into the bin & recycling and other things stored better - didn't count things as I was doing it quickly and all small things but made a difference. House is looking pretty good - need to do a bit more tonight ready for viewing tomorrow.

I gave my 2 fruit shoot skills kits away today and posted an ebay item. More to list on ebay.
I was meant to be going back to work on Monday but have just had a call to say it is going to be the 8th Feb now. I could use the money but nothing I can do really. More time to list etc lol.0 -
Have you ever done a pasta bake using a tomato sauce and bacon? Well neither have i but thats what me and my son are having for our evening meal tonight (I'm still going through the odds and ends in the freezer).
My son likes pasta, he likes a tomato based sauce and he likes bacon (but i'm not sure he will like them all together). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I would like my home to contain only the things I want to keep. If I get rid of 100 things or 10 things it doesn't matter to me
So in the past couple of days I've...
Chucked a broken clothes rail (y'know the weight limit on those things... they really do mean it!)
Gone through my mug of pens and thrown out some dried up biros.
Looked at all my shoes, decided I have enough to last me the rest of my life, and chucked a tatty pair of pumps. Now I'm hoping I won't end my days sat barefoot in a care home because my shoe collection didn't quite last...Refusing to Sit Down & Shut Up since 19740 -
Does anyone know if you can recycle photographs, I have loads of ones that mean nothing to me, i.e someones arm, or some random puppies and some trees (?) but not sure whether to bin or recycle.0
