hi Happy, I have missed your posts. I have to admit I didn't post for a while because I had nothing positive to say. But it is real life. Awful things get thrown at us. I hope you are okay and that things are starting to improve for you.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Hey Happy I am guessing you have been mad busy with helping horses, and ferrying children back to university. HOpe that everything else is vaguely going to plan.
Good luck with the debt busting for the rest of the year.

Here I am!
Sorry I have been awol for so long without explanation. I last logged in on 5th September. At that time the horse was ill, the car had another expensive breakdown, the kids were both off back to uni and I had to lend them money I didn't have because their student finances weren't through. Financially, everything that could go wrong DID go wrong.
I felt that money had 100% dominated my life for months on end. I wanted to switch off from the problems and just spend my time watching telly, reading books and focussing on something other than £s, to protect my sanity. And that's what I did. I just walked away from my diary.
Then, over the past couple of weeks, I have felt my sap rising again. I feel ready to tackle the debts head-on and make some impact instead of gazing at the telly and putting it all out of my mind. I'd also started to wonder about how the other diary-keepers and visitors are doing and felt ready to get involved again. I sneeked a peek at some of you and decided I wanted to be part of it all again!
But while I've been missing in action I have NOT been spending stupidly. My MSE habits are, I think, firmly entrenched now. I continued to live frugally and spend carefully, and when I finally updated my signature yesterday, the debts have actually reduced slightly, all on their own without any input from me!
Sooooo....... Signature updated, slow-cooker running. GAME ON!LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Glad to see you back. We all have our dramas, and sometimes need to step back. Still you sound like you are all recharged now!
Could you remind me again why a DMP wasn't a good idea for you?

Mrs Happy how lovely to see you !
Totally understand where you are coming from, I also needed to disappear for a bit and concentrate on other things. It didnt take long to feel the need to tackle everything again head on and get back on the diaries. Maybe it was the time of year or that we all started at a similar time and were a bit drained by it all.
Anyway many of us are back and I am so glad to see you.
Keep plodding, signature looking good xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
