Ha ha, no photos here either. If I had, mine would have been a very bizarre one of Mr Happy excitedly tearing open the box thinking it was a book he'd ordered, followed by one of his very puzzled, disappointed face. Not what they were after at all
.
I wonder if anyone took any photos - apart from the Pinot familyMy family already think I'm weird/embarrassing enough, without having to feign excitement at a dishwasher tablet. I think they'd worry that the photos would appear on facebook.

Hope to see you tomorrow xx. We've been decorating our office room which has meant disconnecting the PC while we moved desks around/painted behind them etc. I didn't think it would take so long. All done now though, so normal service is resumed
.
The decorating was done on a very tight budget. We decided to use the same colour emulsion as last time because we already had almost a full tin left and we already had enough gloss paint for the windows etc. We've cleaned and kept the existing carpet and blinds. I did splash out on new box files for all our home paperwork etc as ours were over ten years old and looking tatty. The £19.99 B & M Bargains throws which I bought a couple of weeks ago were a disappointment when I opened them, so they have been returned and I went to Dunelm to buy some better ones. When I got there, they had a sale on and I bought two lovely ones for £17.89 each! I also bought a couple of cushions, a new lamp and a few simple ornaments just to make it look a bit different. It looks great - partly down to a MAJOR declutter - and it cost approx £80 in total - all paid for in cash! Sadly my 'house' savings pot is now empty, so that's it for a while now until it builds up again.
In other news, the Happy Horse's foot abscess has returned so he is feeling very sorry for himself just now. He's been on boxrest for a few days wearing a poultice, which meant his companion was also on boxrest as she won't settle outisde without him. So that's two horses to buy food and bedding for, when they should really just be eating all that lovely free grass. He is now slightly better, so they are outside overnight, but I've had to buy him a poultice boot to keep his foot clean and dry while he is out. No vet required so far, just extra farrier visits and poultice/vetwrap/boot, so to date it has cost about £100. Luckily, I had the money in my 'animal' pot!

Hi Happy, When I wasn't moving and settling elderly relative I was cleasring out and decdorating my eldest son's room. All done on a budget too. We bought a new roller, £5.99. Everything else was already in our store. I had bought a pair of curtains for the room about a year ago, they were £20 in a sale, so we have them up at last. It was mainly a huge decluttering exercise. It does feel good doesn't it?
I am sorry that your poorly horse still isn't better. But how well organised it is to have an animal fund.
My dishwasher tablets arrived but I am sorry to say I did not take any photos either. Mr Pooh thought I had been spending money againWhat a surprise to find dishwasher tablets.

The decorating on a budget sounds very successful I ought to think about some decorating myself - okay, thought about it.....not going to happen!
Poor horse. He's probably better off in during this awful weather. I've bought the Captain in overnight and limited his time out during the day. The fields are too muddy and I've a fear of him getting mud fever, he's had it before and I had to clip all his feathers off  I think he was quite relieved to come in, he promptly lay down and went to sleep!
Glad you're back Mrs H

Hi Pooh, yes it certainly does feel good. I have been very strict on the de-cluttering and the room seems twice as big. I love the smell of fresh paint too.
Yes, the animal fund was a blessing, but is sadly now empty! Payday on Friday so I hope I can replenish it and fingers crossed the horse repairs himself without needing any more money spent on him.PinotGrigio41 wrote: »Welcome back Mrs Happy we were missing you !

I've just been reading on your diary about your empty pots. Just a temporary setback I'm sure. And decorating is hard work with a bad back so take your time.

Our fields are muddy too. Mine don't get mud fever luckily but one is very overweight and I am permanently on laminitis watch, so some time in is actually a good thing.
Unfortunately I have pulled something in my back with foot-wrestlng, so last night I had to abandon the poultice and let him out without. I just couldn't bend down to get it on and he is not a good patient! Mr Happy was quite willing to do it, but if you have ever applied a poultice, vet wrap, duck tape and poultice boot you will know that you need three pairs of hands, which I have got but Mr H hasn't!LBM Dec 2011.
