  • I'm here Elnora, just had a hectic day. You are doing well as usual. Well done on catching up with the flying.

    Update for yesterday...

    1) To have at least 15 NCDs - Another under my belt so now on 12.

    2) To meal plan at the end of the week for the following week - Not yet but a plan is forming.

    3) Be in bed by 10.00pm and light out by 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday - It didn't matter, it was Friday.

    4) At least 30 minutes walking during the day - 20 minutes done (2 x 10 minutes).

(Hope this posts, I'm on my phone doing it.)

    1) To have at least 15 NCDs - Yay, now on 11 days! :j:j:j

    2) To meal plan at the end of the week for the following week - All done for this week. I had better start thinking about next week. We can worry about that from next week, then.

    3) Be in bed by 10.00pm and light out by 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday - Bed at 10.20pm and light out at 11.00pm. Why, oh why, do I find this the hardest of my targets? It should be so simple! It just is, which is why it's our lists. I'm still struggling with it, and I've been trying for a couple of years!

    4) At least 30 minutes walking during the day - 40 minutes done (4 x 10 minutes). Cracked, sorted, you haven't been behind with this GI at all. Well done. :T:T:T

[FONT=&quot]Flying – 15 minutes per day - lots as I have cleaned today to make up for the missed days during the week. Hideous, isn't it, having to catch up?!
Pampering – I always remove make up / moisturise my face but this doesn’t extend to the rest of me where I’m a bit slap dash so this month I will take better care of the rest of me. Not yet but there's time :p Hope it all got swished before bedtime. I'm sure it did. ;)
[/FONT][FONT=&quot] Finances – update spreadsheet when required and not leave it until the end of the month. Not required as I've been in all day and not spent a penny. :T:T:T[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Added: Honey Bear - enjoy your weekend away in Lille We're actually going on Monday, coming back on Friday, but thank you just the same. I have every intention of doing just that.[/FONT]
    • To have hit 63 kgs at some point on the scales over the course of the month which will require a steady downward tragectory. Must. Stop. Eating.[STRIKE] OH's.[/STRIKE] any Chcolate. I have now put it all, including OH's surprise licquorice for Christmas, in another shoebox and tied it up like a parcel. Unfortunately while I was doing that I found two half bars, which obviously meant two things. 1. They couldn't be put in the storage box like that. 2. They needed to be finished.
    • 15 minutes Flying per day. Yesterday I did a huge amount, and today I've got a listy to finish because I don't it want it hanging over me while I'm away. This morning I have already dusted a set of shelves that have needed doing for a long time so that's a good start. I'm quite good at punctuality and keeping to fixtures in my diary. I have diaried a load of tasks for today - it worked yesterday, so I'm hoping I've finally found a method that works for me.
    • Stretches after each dog walk. Better. Now remembering to stretch before I go, when they bother me and when I'm waiting. I really, really hate waiting, so filling the time with something constructive banishes that irritation.
    • Clear one paperwork Frog each week ([STRIKE]minutes[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]tax return[/STRIKE], stocktake freezer and food cupboards) [STRIKE][STRIKE]and Compliance stuff and more minutes.[/STRIKE][/STRIKE]. Stocktake still ongoing, a bit more done.
    Better is good enough.

Finish them and they are gone - tomorrow is a new day. At least the chocolate is now tied up and not easily accessible.

I really, really hate waiting, so filling the time with something constructive banishes that irritation. I do some exercises while waiting for the kettle to boil - passes the time and makes sure the exercises are completed.

Flying – 15 minutes per day - lots as I have cleaned today to make up for the missed days during the week. Hideous, isn't it, having to catch up?! Yes there are so many other things that I would rather be doing but I guess I'm not lone in this. It is just neverending.

Only just as I did forget but managed to scrap in at 11.15pm

Well I have definitely been the thread's weak link this week! It's been a really busy one - a work course, a poorly dog (much recovered now) and daily visits to my mum who's not very well.

My targets have taken a back seat unfortunately so I won't even bother writing them down. The positive though is that I've been driving every evening so have had ZERO alcohol.

Despite my poor September performance, I will be back on Tuesday with bells on for Optimistic October. It would be lovely to have the company if anyone/everyone else is up for it? I've already got my targets lined up - I'm going to be focussing on living life by my Fitbit for the month.

Honey, I hope you're having a great time - and left those shoeboxes at home.

  • Last minute post before getting the train to get the plane. Well done everyone, even those who forged notes from their mums and then said the dog was sick, which is just a new twist on 'the dog ate my homework' obviously. However, we made it to the end of the month and things got done in my case that defo wouldn't have been done had I not been posting on your debt-free diary, Oh Happy One.

The scheduling of housework that Needed To Be Done worked wonders. I'm adopting it longterm. I would never have thought of of it if I hadn't been here, either.

I'm in for October, with a new list of Good Intentions when I'm back from my mini-holibob. As we are going to be in Brussels on Thursday I foresee a fair amount of chocolate being [STRIKE]consumed[/STRIKE] bought for presents.
    Better is good enough.
  • Happy - I hope your mum is feeling better soon. Yes, I'm in for Optimistic October - I've been thinking about some targets.

Honey - it is good to find a solution that works - hope you continue to keep on top of the housework. Enjoy your chocolates.

Dolphin - hope you're having a good day.

    I've finished on a low -
[FONT=&quot]Flying – 15 minutes per day - no as I was out in the garden all day and everything looked OK after my big clean up the other day.
Pampering – I always remove make up / moisturise my face but this doesn’t extend to the rest of me where I’m a bit slap dash so this month I will take better care of the rest of me - no as I was in a rush and have only just remembered
Finances – update spreadsheet when required and not leave it until the end of the month.not required.[/FONT]

    [FONT=&quot]1 out of 3 ain't bad!

Target wise, September was a bit of a washout for me but October is only 70 minutes away and I am Optimistic. New targets are:
    • Sleep. Fitbit has a new feature, or maybe I've only just spotted it. It now records a nightly sleep score, which is a mark out of 100 taking into account sleep duration, quality, and restorative qualities. 90-100 is excellent, 80-89 is good, 60-79 is fair, and below 60 is poor. It's logged mine since 22/8/19 and every night has been Fair, apart from one Good and one Poor. I'm aiming for at least ten Good nights in October, although I've still got to work out how to do that!
    • Weight I will weigh myself first thing tomorrow morning, but aim to be 8st 7lb by the end of October.
    • Ten NCD Shamelessly nicked from Dolphin but with lower aspirations.
    • Nails I've bitten my nails and the skin around them since primary school and they literally hurt. Surely I can stop if I really try?? I've taken a photo of them tonight and I'll take another on 31/10/19.
