I'm hopelessly behind on my homework, so I've asked my mum for a note excusing me from catching up.
Healing vibes for Happy Dog.
Will be back asap.Better is good enough.0 -
Hope Happy dog is much better and the meds have worked.
The scene from Peaky Bilnders in the theatre was filmed in my local town - lots of places I recognised. It’s a lovely restored Art Deco theatre which was taken over a few days earlier this year- my friend went to watch the filming and said it was great. I didn’t watch the series but did watch the last episode so I could see it.
Everyone is doing well with the targets.January spends - £587.580 -
Elnora, you're rapidly turning into the Skool Swot! You do know, don't you, that you've got to set new targets for October and it will look very suspicious if you Ace them as quickly as you have this month?
Dolphin, does quinoa count as too carby? Also, how about roasted cauliflower? I can't eat the stuff unless it's completely smothered in cheese sauce, or roasted with a few spices scattered over it.
Seaside Girl, All I have to say is that smoked haddock = kedgeree, fish pie and a sort of moussey thing with creme fraiche (low fat if that's your thing) lemon juice and lots of parsley or chives. Lovely.
Happy, I heart both Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy but not in a pervy way, for I am a Woman of a Certain Age and once you reach that milestone it's only appropriate to exercise one's mildly lusty thoughts from a substantial distance, and in private. (Actually, they're not my Lust Objects, but you get my drift.) It just so happened that every time I walked into the sitting room when OH was watching Peaky, someone or rather several people were shooting each other full of holes. Every. Single. Time. It's a bit like Game of Thrones, where every time I happened to be in the sitting room for a nanosecond at least one character was hacking another to pieces, limbs and blood and gore flying in all directions. I'm not entirely sure I haven't sometimes thought, 'Oh, I pity the poor person who has to clear all that up' either. Imagine having to sweep up all the arms, legs and heads that used to get lopped off as they were slashing their way around castles in the olden days. And let's be honest, any more than an arm and head and the bucket's full. What a bore medieval flying must have been.
As to Happy Dog's suppurating abscess all over your best carpets and rugs, it's her revenge for being left behind on Sunday morning when you take Donkey Dog and leave her behind.Better is good enough.0 -
- To have hit 63 kgs at some point on the scales over the course of the month which will require a steady downward tragectory. It's all at bit 'steady as she goes' stuck on 65.5kgs at the moment. Still that's better than I deserve. Must. Stop. Eating. OH's. Chcolate.
- 15 minutes Flying per day. Most days; just about to finish the shower which I should have done yesterday because I woke up yesterday morning not remembering doing the tiles lower down.
- Stretches after each dog walk. Better. Not perfect but much better now that I stretch randomly rather than leaving it to the end of the day.
- Clear one paperwork Frog each week ([STRIKE]minutes[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]tax return[/STRIKE], stocktake freezer and food cupboards) [STRIKE]and Compliance stuff[/STRIKE]. Stocktake ongoing, but the annoying thing is that the meetings cycle has come round again and even though the wretched Chair hasn't circulated my last draft minutes, tonight will generate yet another set of the wretched things, so it's back to the beginning on that score, although I finished and sent off the Complaince stuff.

Seasidegal – your food sounds lovely all healthy and Green and Blacks chocolate well, in my opinion, it’s one of your five a day
You’re doing well with your targets – I find it helps having to confess it all here.
Dolphin – two days in a row all targets completed :T 10 NCDs – you’re on a roll
Honey Bear – sorry you’re really busy. Hope you can catch up soon.
Happy – hope the Happy Dog is continuing to recover and that you’re back on your targets today.

Milann - it's always nice to see a local area on TV. Hope you've decided on some targets for October.

Today's efforts
Flying – 15 minutes per day no indoor Flying but I’ve been clearing up hedge trimmings
Pampering – I always remove make up / moisturise my face but this doesn’t extend to the rest of me where I’m a bit slap dash so this month I will take better care of the rest of me. Not yet but I will
Finances – update spreadsheet when required and not leave it until the end of the month. Not required.0 -

Never was swotty at school though. I have my targets on a sticky on my laptop so they're in my face so I can't get away from them and having to confess here helps.

Well done on completing the Compliance notes. Boo to being back to square one with the minutes.

Quinoa - I can't stand the stuff but thanks anyway. I love cauliflower but OH can't stand it. Sometimes I put a bit on his plate and cover it with other pieces of veg or gravy so he doesn't notice and then halfway through the meal he says "what's this? what's it doing on my plate?" and just leaves it. It's like feeding a toddler at times. :rotfl:

Dolphin - while I was sorting out an online order with S@insbury's I came across some pasta made out of chickpeas. I don't know if you've seen it - I hadn't. It seems to be like Marmite - you either love it or loath it. I thought it might be worth a look if you don't know about it.0 -
Flying – 15 minutes per day spent all day dealing with food either picking, prepping or freezing and couldn't be bothered with flying.
Pampering – I always remove make up / moisturise my face but this doesn’t extend to the rest of me where I’m a bit slap dash so this month I will take better care of the rest of me. Just now
Finances – update spreadsheet when required and not leave it until the end of the month. Not opened my purse today so not required.
