Sorry to hear about your Dad, hope he gets well soon.
I have no nails - have been decorating and that's put paid to what was left of them. I would love to have beautiful nails but I'm forever chopping bits of them off whilst cooking.
February seems to be off and running for you all - well done. Its all upside down in our house so I'm just trying to keep going and will regard that as a win if I make it to half term without resorting to going to bed with a bottle of wine and a boxset.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

I would be in for March folks as long as I don't need to find a magic 10 goals..will I be Ok with a 4 or 5??
4 targets is enough for me. If I try and do any more, I would never achieve any of them.

Update for yesterday...
1) A small pot of rice pudding eaten.
2) Just under 12,000 steps :j.
3) Light off at 11.15pm.
4) No spends on other people :j.
Not sure that I'll ever achieve target 3but at least it is making me switch my light off earlier than I use to and I know that if I change it to 11pm, I'll just switch the light off even later.

Throw a few mushrooms in with that bacon sarnie and add some veggies to that pizza and you'll be sorted
.
Weirdly, I do the same, i.e. overcompensate during the week, as I'm usually too knackered by the end of the week to make as much effort. Meals on Friday and Saturday nights tend to be more lazy (Pizza Express/takeaways/stuff out of the freezer) but Sunday is usually a roast dinner with lots of veg.
When I've got the time, energy and suitable veg in the fridge I do tart up the pizza with healthy stuff Dolphin, but there are a lot of weekends when it doesn't happen. We're pretty healthy most of the time, but just occasionally we'll slide into a slobby, slutty jag and eat c**p. I'm trying to find new ways of making it easy that work for both of us.brizzledfw wrote: »I would be in for March folks as long as I don't need to find a magic 10 goals..will I be Ok with a 4 or 5??
Hi there Birzzle! When Happy started this last February we were all going great guns, with masses of ideas and long lists of goals. By December we were limping along with three or four each and not making them, or even bothering to post for days at a time! Don't be fooled by our totally misplaced confidence.joeyjimbles wrote: »Its all upside down in our house so I'm just trying to keep going and will regard that as a win if I make it to half term without resorting to going to bed with a bottle of wine and a boxset.
Sounds like heaven to me too, although I'd have to substitute a six pack of chilled Bexs B1u3 for the wine box. Now that's quite an idea ... slinks off to track down a suitable boxed set from the library .... I hope you get it shipshape really quickly.Better is good enough.1 -
- Meal plan from existing stocks as much as possible every week I asked OH if wanted bean burgers or spag bol this evening - bean burgers made with a 'found' leek, plus enough mix for another two batches. I also found something else in the freezer that filled in one of the blanks in the last week of the month. Only one more blank to go - surely OH must be up for eating out once more this month? I'm thinking Valentine's Day might be favourite.
- Clear desk gibble daily Done
- Stop ****ing swearing. Fine £1 a word for each ****ing occurence I had to put a crispy fiver in this morning AGAIN. Double ooops.
- Identify and contact five outlets for each working day in February, so that's 21 in all Er ....
- 15 minutes s a day flying five days a week Er ....
- No sugary stuff one day a week for the first week, two days a week for the second week, three days a week in Week 3 and four days a week in Week 4. Er ....
- No computer after 9.00 pm (except my ipod so that I can choose my night-time listening) and lights out by 11.30 pm Done, but then had to get up at midnight to walk the dog again. Grr.
- 5 fruit and veg a day More fruit than veg again, but I thought that having the two tangerines at 4.00 pm instead of more Twinks was rather heoric.
- Electric toothbrush once a day. Done.

- Meal plan from existing stocks as much as possible every week The wall clock that wasn't working has been banished from the hook in the kitchen and the Simon's Cat calendar I gave OH for Christmas is in it's place, with the meal plan scribbled on it. Excellent. OH whinged about the clock, so I told him if he fixed it, it could go back. The calendar's still up.

- Stop ****ing swearing. Fine £1 a word for each ****ing occurence Heard myself say 'Jeepers' yesterday and I'm putting another fiver in, hopefully for the last time. I don't think I've had the full value, but just in case, you understand.

- No sugary stuff one day a week for the first week, two days a week for the second week, three days a week in Week 3 and four days a week in Week 4. Probably shouldn't have made the chocolate cake yesterday. Quality control and all that.
- No computer after 9.00 pm (except my ipod so that I can choose my night-time listening) and lights out by 11.30 pm Couldn't remember how to sync the ipod and there was a new episode of Serial 2, so I had to listen to it on my computer. That took until nearly 10.00pm but in the circumstances it was sooooo worth it.
- 5 fruit and veg a day Tick. In fact, dinner was vegan which was amazing for a two course meal - we're neither veggie nor vegan but I do like to be able to mix it up a bit,
- Electric toothbrush once a day. Done.
