Interesting that you're flagging Dolphin, our Glorious Leaderene has thrown in the towel while she's been twiddling with her upside down watch and I'm getting tardy too.
    • No computer after 9.00pm. Tick. I switched it off last night on the dot of 9.00 pm when I realised what the time was.
    • Five fruit and veg a day. Probably, again.
    • 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. Back to being a !!!!!!.
    • Go flour-free. Real bread, proper sandwich in fact. And then today at plastering I had a slice of cake and tonight I'm having a pizza. No reaction so far, but I'm going back to flour-free from Monday morning for the rest of the month.
    • New for Suptember 2: Use the electric toothbrush at least once a day. I hate doing it, but it's so much more effective than the old fashioned one, so if I make it official I might stick to it. Not a tick. Bad HB.
Are we considering an Ought2 October?

Sorry for the lack of update.

Mr H's operation went well but he is sore and a bit sorry for himself. He will be off work for two weeks. Luckily I was in the room when the doctor told him he must exercise the leg gently around the house. This means I sit on the sofa and send him on errands to fetch things. If I'd known it was going to be this much fun I'd have taken longer off work :D.

I had intended giving the house a good clean while I'm off and even got as far as turning the water heater on. So far, nothing.

    Update
Money: Oh dear. I spent the last of our money yesterday at the supermarket. Everything else spent until 15th November will be borrowed from our Christmas Funds. All bills are paid though, so it's only food and petrol.
Myfitnesspal Not done at all. On the way home from hospital Mr H (who was still comically off his face from the anaesthetic) declared that he REALLY needed apple crumble and custard and nothing else would do. That kind of set the tone for the last few days. We eat far too much sugar. If we go for Ought2 October (as opposed to Notdoin' November!) I am going to work hard on reducing it.

LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Debt May 21: Unsecured ZERO! ZILCH! Mortgage £22,332

You were missed and are forgiven. Just.

    Love it!

But you have hot water. Excellent; you're fully prepareed.

    * <= The sound of pips squeaking. Fingers crossed that nothing at the Happy House breaks, there are piles of useful stuff in the Whoopsied section of every supermarket Happy visits and the Happy Fleet can run on fumes.

But apple crumble counts as one of my fruit and veg regularly at this time of year; without it I'd have to eat kale. Yuk. Mr Happy's blood sugar was probably very low after the general and was instinctively asking for what was medically required.

You'll get this, I'm sure. Generally I'm pretty together, but I honestly thought we were about to start October when I wrote that! How confused was I by Suptember 2?

    • No computer after 9.00pm. Tick.
    • Five fruit and veg a day. I'm really struggling with this at the moment. I need to plan it to ensure it's automatic.
    • 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. I'll have to do some today.
    • Go flour-free. Total fail. I'm wondering if the headache I've woken up with is a reaction. I seem to remember I had one last week and that would be a helpful finding. Soldiers this morning with my boiled egg when OH brings me breakfast in bed (it's The Law.) So, if I have a headache again tomorrow, I'll know. Useful knowledge.

Tick. Good HB. Dental checkup and hygienest tomorrow, so that should be marginally less painful than it used to be after how much more frequently I've been using it. Let's see.

    Hello all.
Computer issues still prevailing in this neck of the woods compounded by OH working from home and me doing job of doom plus half term homework for both boys means we are all playing a sad game of pass the computer. Anyway, I have completed the last survey and only have the packing to do now which is oddly satisfying - lots of bubble wrap and plastic shavings. I always feel efficient when I slot all the stuff into the box. Little things...
Also managed to get 4 bags of long accumulated rubbish out of the front attic - its bin day tomorrow - which although it is less than the tip of the iceberg, it is at least a step forward.

Good luck with the packing, Joey. I'm off to the scrap store this morning with a carboot full of [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] useful stuff.
    • No computer after 9.00pm. Tick.
    • Five fruit and veg a day. Didn't manage it again, but I made myself some pumpkin and coriander soup for supper, with a side order of avocado on toast. Not bad.
    • 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. I'm losing it again.
    • Go flour-free. The headache is definitely related to eating floury stuff. No wonder I always thought I had a hangover no matter how little I drank. Paracetemol doesn't work on it, either, only ibuprofen, so knowing that's very helpful. Now I have to find out how much I can eat without getting a reaction. I'll do that in next month.

Tick. Good HB. Dentist and hygeinist very happy with progress and I also had the wherewithal to ask for costings about insurance versus pay as you go, very MSE. I normally can't think straight while I'm there I'm so panicky. Turns out, it is cheaper for me being insured. Excellent all round.

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, I've had visitors and I don't feel like my feet have touched the ground. Now got to start the mountain of washing and cleaning up to try and get back on track. I think it will take me all week to catch up with the washing now that I can't hang it out .

No updates because I just haven't got a clue :). I have completely given up on Suptember 2 :o.

Honey Bear, you have done amazingly well to stay on track especially with little to no support :T.

HappyNow, hope you are ok and Mr HappyNow is recovering well.

joeyjimbles, nice to 'see' you and well done for getting rid of so much rubbish.

Good to see you back, Dolphin. Any support is helpful, but let's be honest, we're only doing this because we need to make these changes in our lives, so it's self-interest for me to keep plugging away. Good luck with the washing - getting it dry is a constant battle here and I watch the forecast like a hawk.

    • Go flour-free. Really, really naughty yesterday. OH is a bit like a hermit - he doesn't like coming out of his mancave Monday to Friday bewteen the time he goes in and 8.00pm. Yesterday he wanted my advice on buying a new litter tray so we had a little jaunt. Very enjoyable. In the course of it I bumped into a local friend who happened to know that the pasty shop up the road had won the South West Pasty making competition two years in a row, so it would have been rude not to wouldn't it? (I might add that this counts as going out for a meal in our house. Living the life, me.) Anyway some pasty pastry was consumed, but in a worthy cause, I think. Feeling okay today, no headache.

    • Five fruit and veg a day. My turn to cook dinner. There are a few leftovers but between us: 7 chipolatas, garlic fried leftover potatoes and parsnips from Sunday roast, four yellow and orange peppers, two massive courgettes and four onions. Plus, half an avocado at lunch and sultanas with porridge. Yesssssss.
    • 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. Massive amount of Flying, including a great deal more than 15 minutes of floors, shower room and other stuff. Even a bit of dusting, but not the full 15 mins of that - far too dull.
    • Go flour-free. I was good. I even made a roast chicken scraps and mayo sandwich to share with OH for lunch on GF bread and he was quite happy with it.

What is the opposite of 'letting yourself go'?
Whatever it is I think I need three weeks of the MSE version in the start of November. I was cleaning the bathroom mirror yesterday and really what looked back at me was not a pretty sight. Working from home, dog walking and generally just being 50 are definitely not resulting in being fabulous. I am off on my annual jaunt to London with the girls late November and feel that drastic measures may be needed rather than my usual strategy of a haircut, eyebrow threading and a new lippy. Help!
