Hi Happy! Hope all is well with you, and it's just that you're busy - in a good way.

    Update for yesterday...

    1) Raspberry & coconut tart eaten.

Is this from the recent purchase? I've a feeling scofflings like this will be appearing for several days ....

    2) Light out at 10.50pm.

    Good going.

    3) No back exercises.

I hope your back is healing. Do you think you overdid it by being so consciencous?
    Better is good enough.

    • No computer after 9.00pm. Tick.
    • Five fruit and veg a day. OH is back and I'm back to eating properly.
    • 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. Stuff done. Not the listy stuff, but necessary and more than 15 minutes. More being done today.
    • Go flour-free. Tick.
    • New for Suptember 2: Use the electric toothbrush at least once a day. I hate doing it, but it's so much more effective than the old fashioned one, so if I make it official I might stick to it. Tick. Back on track.
    Better is good enough.

Yes, it is and yesterday it was a chocolate sponge cake :D. Not taking anything else out of the freezer for the next few days at least.

Yes, probably but it's just one of those things. It will sort itself out eventually. I'm not going to let it put me off the back exercises as they do help in the long run.

    Hi all,
Sorry for my last moany self-indulgent post. Hormones definitely to blame and this week is feeling more positive, plus both DSs are back on track. DS1 was away last week and I had a large sense of foreboding (thankfully completely unfounded) about it and was struggling not to pass my needless anxiety onto him, and DS2 had a couple of tricky days at secondary when he's been doing so well. It all added up.
I'm now trying to get organised for Christmas - mostly list making and plans rather than purchasing - as I've realised that its two months away and I have very few free weekends between then and now. I might even do a little online shopping.

Well done Dolphin on keeping sort of on track. I thought freezing goodies was supposed to limit access to them, but clearly it doesn't work 100% when someone's really determined! Enjoy your scofflings while your back is healing - there's probably a relationship there.

You didn't sound whingey, Joey, you sounded as though things were getting on top of you. It happens to all of us occasionally.
    • No computer after 9.00pm. Nope. New lodger and her sister were due at 9.30pm but didn't turn up until 10.15. I couldn't concentrate on my new book while I was waiting so the computer got cranked up again. Lights out by 11.30 though, so it didn't keep me awake which is why I have this on my listy.
    • Five fruit and veg a day. Er, not sure I did this yesterday. Probably not, actually. Must.do.better.
    • 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. Lots of stuff done, including a walk in cupboard that drives me mad. Stuff taken to the dump, more stuff still in the car waiting to go to the scrap store.
    • Go flour-free. Tick.
    • New for Suptember 2: Use the electric toothbrush at least once a day. I hate doing it, but it's so much more effective than the old fashioned one, so if I make it official I might stick to it. Tick. Back on track.
    for Happy.

Unfortunately it doesn't take long for any of it to defrost so it's still a temptation. I managed to resist yesterday though :).

You certainly seem to be on track with most of your targets :T.

    Update for yesterday...

    1) None eaten.
    2) Light out at 11.10pm.
    3) Back exercises not done. I'm removing this target for the rest of the month because they are irritating my back at the moment. In the meantime, I'll stick to normal activity as much as possible and try and think of another target to replace it with.

Hope you are ok Mrs HappyNow :hello:.

Hello Happynow. I remember reading your first posts many years ago when I was an 'in denial lurker'!!! It's wonderful to see the progress that you have made over the last 4 years. Well done.

I am just at the start of my journey but it helps to see positive examples such as yours.
Hello Chester, thanks for dropping by after all this time. When I read back through the first few pages of my diary I barely recognise myself! Nothing material has particularly changed since I started this DFW thing, but it just seems such a long, long time ago and my relationship with money is soo different and soooo much happier! Well done with moving from 'in denial lurker' to 'head-on debt tackler'. You will see the benefits very soon :)
