Good to hear the NHS is planning on taking good care of Mr Happy, and that you're going to have a holiday looking after him! I hope it all goes smoothly. My own targets do not make pretty reading
... but you're doing your best, sticking with it and gradually getting there.
Money - payday came and went. All bills paid including £1100 off the debts & money borrowed from Xmas funds repaid. Ordered six weeks worth of horse feed to build up a stock for winter, new rug ordered for horse to replace the broken one, Zoopl*s order done to keep the dog fed for two months. Supposed to order an extra month's coal to get a bit of a stockpile but haven't because there's no money available. Fridge/freezer/cupboards stocked, but only with a week or so's food. Balance remaining for groceries until 15th Nov - £25.03. Going to be borrowing from Christmas again this month.
I *might* have to have a minimum debt payment month soon, because I don't want to be borrowing from Christmas every month. Plus of course soon Christmas will be here, funds will be spent and then what? I'll see how this month goes.
Well done for stocking up on the things that give the bank balance a hammering. Juggling what's leftover is the tricky bit. Christmas is as important as the horses, isn't it?

Dailydiary I'm still trying, just not hard enough!
Well, yeah - if the monthly targety goaly things we're setting ourselves were easy, we wouldn't be setting them, would we? Every day that I make myself do one of them because I know I'll have to 'fess up if I don't is progress. The days I miss out are the ones where I'm at least conscious that I'm not as self-disciplined as I'd like to be. At least we're having a go.Better is good enough.0 -
Slight correction if that was a misunderstanding - I'm learning how to plaster not teaching it, which may have been the impression I gave inadvertently. I did a bit of ceiling yesterday and was rather chuffed with it. Next week - beading. I like plastering!
- No computer after 9.00pm. Tick.
- Five fruit and veg a day. Tick - more fridge clearance because I've been given 40kgs of apples (I kid you not) and I need a lot more jars..
- 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. Pah. Cleanliness is for nancies.
- Go flour-free. Tick - apart from the browning.
- New for Suptember 2: Use the electric toothbrush at least once a day. I hate doing it, but it's so much more effective than the old fashioned one, so if I make it official I might stick to it. Tick even though I was tired.

Hello Happynow. I remember reading your first posts many years ago when I was an 'in denial lurker'!!! It's wonderful to see the progress that you have made over the last 4 years. Well done.
I am just at the start of my journey but it helps to see positive examples such as yours.0 -
That's weird, I thought I had already posted about this. Anyway, I got a bit carried away and spent £38 including delivery
. The order is coming today, mostly bread and bread rolls as they can be frozen but a couple of cakes too
. It's sad how excited I am about it. I'll feedback when I've tried some of it.
Well, my order came on Friday and I have not stopped eating gluten free bread and cakes since. Just kidding, I was very disciplined and put most of it in the freezer. Although, I have got through a whole crusty bloomer, a couple of bread rolls and a couple of individual cakes and managed to put 2lbs on in 2 days
.
I am most impressed with the bread and bread rolls, it actually has the texture of 'real' bread, is lovely and soft and is a massive improvement on the dense crumbly stuff that I usually have to put up with.
I am not going to go back to eating as much bread as I did BGF (before gluten free) but I am looking forward to trying the items in the freezer and I will definitely order from them again.0 -
Update for Friday & Saturday...
1) Too much to list.
2) Friday - light off at 11.00pm, Saturday - light off at 11.20pm.
3) No back exercises. I think I've just trapped a nerve on one side so I'm trying to do normal activity as much as possible. I will start my back exercises again tomorrow but just start at once a day.0 -

So pleased you like it, always a gamble recommending something but we only eat the bread from here now. We have the doughnuts too - they say not to freeze but I've always done and they've been fine :-)Sealed pot challenge 822

Hi dawnybabes, I didn't order the doughnuts in the end for that very reason but I'll definitely order some next time. Thank you again for your recommendation, the bread and bread rolls are fantastic and I still have high hopes for the cakes that I have put in the freezer.0 -

And I hope you thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful! Isn't it wonderful when you find something that's just right.

*Ouch* Healing vibes for you, and I'll stop nagging for a day or three to let you settle your nerves back into a comfortable routineBetter is good enough.0 -
- No computer after 9.00pm. Not a tick but I was investigating apple recipes so it's allowed. IT IS.
- Five fruit and veg a day. Not a tick, in fact I don't think even one yesterday. I ate all three meals standing up over the sink, but the marrow has been dealt with, and I have 24 more jars of marrow and ginger.
- 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. Pah. Who has time for this nonsense?
- Go flour-free. Not a tick - the meals on the run were slices of some Greek think from lidl that involved filo pastry and cheese. Shan't be buying that again.
