Sorry for worrying you all. I'm still on holiday, where the wifi connection is terrible which feels quite liberating.

Kelpie sailed through the dental surgery and is going to have a lump removed in about 10 days although we still don't know what it is. In the meantime he's exploring the south west coastal path, picking up ticks, playing on the beach and strangely, admiring the view. He loves just looking at the sea.

Back for real on Saturday and I'll catch up then.

Aww, it's great to hear from you! Glad you are ok and hope it all works out for Kelpie.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday!

Update for first day of July...

    1) None eaten.
    2) Light off at 11.15pm but we had a huge thunder storm with lots of lightening and hailstones so I didn't get to sleep until midnight.
    3) Meal plan for the week already done.
    4) No spends on other people.
    5) Face and neck moisturised.

Ah right, that explains it then :). I hope you're having a great time and come back feeling all refreshed. I agree about the lack of internet being liberating. I hate when it occasionally goes down at home but while we were away I quite enjoyed the break. We just took one phone for emergencies and I only spent five minutes or so each day online. There was so much more time to do other things like read and chat to Mr H. Straight back to normal the day we got back though!

Looking back at the 14th May, I had lost 9lbs and OH had lost 11lbs. Almost 7 weeks later, I have now lost 13lbs and OH has now lost 1st 2lbs so that's another 4lbs for me and another 5lbs for OH so I guess that's not really too bad considering we aren't actually dieting and it's just from healthy eating and we were away for a week during that time. Quite pleased actually :).
That's brilliant, well done both of you :). Good idea to log a record on here too so you can look back on it over the months to give yourself a lift if needed.

Well Judicious July really isn't happening for me!
    • Money. No waste, but I did buy some gorgeous sparkly sandals yesterday in the sales, which absolutely were not essential, but they are soooooo beautiful that I don't regret it. I keep opening the box and just looking at them! They still cost £34.99. Now I want it to stop raining so I can wear them
    • Diet. Whoops
    • Water Fail
    • Sleep Even worse than usual!
    • Fun. Wednesday - finished work early and sat in the garden with a bottle of beer enjoying the sunshine and listening to the birds. Thursday I bought my sandals. Today I haven't really done anything fun so I shall do two things tomorrow :)
Rubbish. I'm going to start July again tomorrow.

    Yesterday's update...

    1) I had a raspberry eton mess dessert from m&$. It's quite interesting, when I gave up just a few naughty things, I substituted them for other naughty things but now that I have to log everything, I have no where to hide.
    2) Light off at 11.50pm.
    3) Need to do next weeks meal plan.
    4) Sent off a card and £10 for my niece's birthday and added a little something but it only cost me £1.50.
    5) Face and neck moisturised.

That IS interesting. Good innit? Even though I'm not doing brilliantly at the moment I know I'm doing better than I would if I wasn't 'fessing up.
    Yesterday:
    • Money. Had to do supermarket run, spent £56.70 which I thought was great at the till, but it turns out I forgot half the essentials. Really need to get organised with a list. No waste except for a reduced plum and cherry crumble and two bars of chocolate :o
    • Diet. Not great. Four portions of fruit and veg, three portions of chocolate, two portions of plum and cherry crumble :o
    • Water. Used it to make tea and coffee :o
    • Sleep. I'm typing this at 4 am :o
    • Fun. This ones easy! Went to visit my sister who has just moved house. Played ball with the dog for an hour.

I'm back, but I'm really not up to speed at all so, Judicious July will be very low key unless I get some serious inspiration and [STRIKE]change my mind[/STRIKE] redecide my goals. See what I mean?
    1. Lights out by 11.30pm five nights a week.
    2. Maximum of five mugs of real coffee a week.
    3. Five fruit and veg a day.
    4. Get Kelpie to come to call reliably by the end of the month.
    5. Give myself a couple of hours every day when I don't feel guilty about not doing more.
My healthy eating regime has fallen by the wayside over the past week or so, I'm not getting enough sleep and it's been quite a while since I actually felt well, although I don't think I'm even a teensy bit unwell. I've tried pretty much everything in a half-hearted way to see if I can zazz up my energy levels but I want to get to grips with it in July.

By the end of June I did finally manage to cut down to two mugs of real coffee most days and once I'd been on that regime for a few days I realised I wasn't enjoying the caffeine hit at all; in fact, it made me feel very odd indeed although I do love the flavour of real coffee. So, true addict that I am, I can't just let it go completely but I think I might just try switching back to instant after 20 years of caffeine flying over the course of the month.
    Better is good enough.

It is so true, it definitely makes me think twice about what I'm eating.

Wow, that is a big target for you! Just watch out for the withdrawal headaches. When I was drinking caffeinated coffee, I found that if I missed a day then I got a headache. In the end, they were so debilitating that I decided to go cold turkey and just switch to decaf. No more headaches :).

Sorry that you aren't feeling well. Could it be something to do with the heat? I have only done essential stuff for the last week because the heat makes me feel bleurgh. Also, are you getting enough water? If it lasts, maybe a trip to the docs would be a good idea. It could be a deficiency in something.
