I'm a bit worried about Honey, who seems to be AWOL. I hope it's because she's doing something magnificent and fun, but she did mention in an earlier post that Kelpie had a vet appointment so I hope there's nothing wrong.

Yes, I have been a bit worried too. I noticed that she hasn't been posting on any threads at all. It's very odd as I'm sure she was intending to carry on posting while you were away.

Signature updated, £1100 paid off. Hope I can manage not to borrow any of it back..........

Wow, well done, £1,100 is a huge reduction :T !

Thank you both for popping by. Sorry for the delay in replying - it has been post-holiday madness here since we got back, but things are starting to get back to normal now. I'm not sure whether that's a :) or a :( because the holiday was brilliant, but home's pretty OK too! Or it will be when I've caught up with the washing, lawn-mowing, weeding and general sortings-out!

I'm having the rest of June off, I have a lot of stuff on my plate and providing I don't go massively the other way I will call it a success.
I think just getting through the madness that was your June with your sanity intact is a massive achievement JJ! Hopefully July and August will be a bit more relaxing for you and the boys :).

I know - it's massive and it makes life very tight, but if I want get deft-free by Feb 2019 I need to pay that much every single month!! It's not going to always be possible of course, there are a couple of expensive months coming up (septic tank and tree work - I will expand later!), but every month that we manage it is one bit closer :)

Well done Dolphin! And today is 30th June so assuming you've not fallen royally off the wagon today it's been a good month for you! Even if you're hovering at around the same weight you are maintaining what you've already lost, so that's all good. Is Mr Dolphin doing the same?

    Glad you are home safely.
Thanks Al :). After what happened in Tunisia it somehow feels wrong to be talking about lovely holidays, and it's sort of humbling that 'the luck of the draw' meant we got home safely when so many other people didn't. But we really did have a great time and Mr H is hoping to get some more of his rare paid overtime so we can go again next year.

Unfortunately I've had a couple of biscuits today <sigh> but as you asked about the OH, I thought that I would check where we are and post it on your diary as a record.

Looking back at the 14th May, I had lost 9lbs and OH had lost 11lbs. Almost 7 weeks later, I have now lost 13lbs and OH has now lost 1st 2lbs so that's another 4lbs for me and another 5lbs for OH so I guess that's not really too bad considering we aren't actually dieting and it's just from healthy eating and we were away for a week during that time. Quite pleased actually :).

*skids in with half an hour to spare to set targets for Judicious July*
    • Money. As usual, there must be no waste and YNAB must be balanced daily
    • Diet. I will eat five portions of fruit and veg daily, and only one sweet treat daily
    • Water. I will drink a minimum of five glasses per day
    • Sleep. I will spend between 6-8 hours in bed each night, even if I can't sleep for all of it.
    • FUN! I will do something fun every day :)

I'll be back later with my July targets.

Still no sign of Mrs Honey Bear. I was hoping that she was just having a break while you were away.

Ok, my targets for July are...

    1) Not eating any of the following... butter, cake, sweets, biscuits, chocolate, ice cream, cream, yoghurts or desserts of any kind. (I haven't got a clue how realistic this is but I'm giving it a shot anyway.)

    2) Switch light off no later than 11pm every night.

    3) Meal plan at the end of every week for the following week.

    4) No unnecessary spends on gifts for other people. For July, I have set a maximum budget of £20 for two nieces birthdays. It is also both of my parents birthdays this month but they have told me not to get them presents so I am going to take them out for a meal instead.

    5) Moisturise my face and neck every day.

Sorry for worrying you all. I'm still on holiday, where the wifi connection is terrible which feels quite liberating.

Kelpie sailed through the dental surgery and is going to have a lump removed in about 10 days although we still don't know what it is. In the meantime he's exploring the south west coastal path, picking up ticks, playing on the beach and strangely, admiring the view. He loves just looking at the sea.

Back for real on Saturday and I'll catch up then.
    Better is good enough.
