Here I am! Sorry for the stupidly long absence - bet you all thought I'd won the lottery and was away on a world cruise :rotfl:
Thanks every one for dropping by and thinking about me, it means a lot x
The honest truth is that I've been feeling pretty flat and exhausted by real life and I've had no passion for money saving, debt repayment or anything else apart from getting through each day. Luckily I 'm not prone to depression or anything, but I've struggled to stay cheery over the last few weeks. This lovely spring weather seems to have kick-started me though and I can feel my sap rising at last!
Little Miss Happy is not much better and is still using a wheelchair. In a bizarre, misguided attempt at normality she tried to walk up the stairs without holding on a couple of days ago (she usually crawls up on all fours), fell over and mashed her face up, so she's going to look great in the photos of her 21st birthday which is this weekend . But!! She has had some good luck in that she has been accepted for her teacher training course to start in September PROVIDED she can get well enough. If not, it will defer for a year. Either way it has given her a real lift and she knows she will get better even if it takes a good while.
Granny Happy is a bit frailer but still enjoying life in her chosen nursing home. Not bad for an old lady who was given three weeks to live, four months ago.
Financially I have just updated my signature which has given me a bit of a boost. FOR THE FIRST TIME MY UNSECURED DEBT IS NOW LOWER THAN MY MORTGAGE!!! YAY!
I've a lot of diaries to catch up on, but I will be back soon xLBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!
Debt Dec 11: Unsecured £69,579 + Mortgage £59,948 = £129,527
Debt May 21: Unsecured ZERO! ZILCH! Mortgage £22,3320 -
Firstly well done on the debt reduction, it really does give you a boost doesn't it
Secondly, great news re DDs course, that will give her something good to focus on. So sorry to hear she is still poorly and to hear about her accident. Still a mashed up face and spoilt photos is so much better than what could have happened. You must be besides yourself with worry, it's no wonder life was getting you down my dear.
Glad to hear Granny Happy is settled, such a weight off your mind
Hope Mr Happy and the rest of the family are well
Lots of love and hugs
Granny xTargets
