    Hi Bill

Use the comparison sites to get quotes, then choose the best quote from the list you are given.

    Take into account :

    • Company - have you heard of the company and their reputation
    • Level of cover - does the policy cover everything you need
    • Premium - Cheapest is not always best
    • Additional costs / charges - e.g. Cancellation and Admin fees
If you wanted more specific advice, then you would need to explain your requirements in a little more detail.

We have just had the renewal letter through for our contents insurance (we are currently renting). This is due for renewal in a couple of weeks time. We are however moving house (offer accepted, all going through) and expect to be in mid November - when we move we will obviously need buildings and contents insurance and was hoping to get them together (quidco, deals etc).

Does anyone know if you can buy a month by month contents insurance policy just to keep us going until we move?

    TIA

I live by the River Medway and am looking for building and home contents insurance. Does anyone know who the best companies are that will cover properties near the river?

    Thanks!

Try a local broker in a town or village near the river, they will know of Insurers who accept certa in properties near the river, otherwise have a look at Aviva

To the landlords in here, landlords must make sure they have the relevant landlords insurance for their needs. The majority of buy-to-let mortgage companies will make this an essential requirement :)
