Christmas Crafts 2012

Do you mean a blank undecorated kit of the wooden shapes needed to decorate yourself? If so, yes i can easily do that. What would you need? Then i could work out costings for you.0

I've been researching these wooden shapes on Ebay and the likes and one thing i've noticed is most people sell in 10's. Now if i'm making something personalised i won't need 10 of anything so i was thinking about selling shapes singly or a kind of 'pic n mix' what do you guys think? Nanamia i'm loving the kit idea too....wonder if it could be a seller? hmmm0
-
I think it would sell as a kit and already made. You would get people like me who would like to make it up and personalise it for their family and then people without the time and "messing gene" who would be happy to pay for the finished article
Have you thought about stars? Maybe a possibility for boys rooms!
I'm getting excited now thinking about the possibilities.
I also love that u and ur hubby are working together on it. Mine just thinks I've lost the plot! Until somebody makes a nice comment or I get positive feedback then it was all his ideaBless him. X
The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do

Daisymoon designs does great cheap wooden shapes and bunting kits. This is where I get all my supplies to sell on my Facebook page. She can customise and do anything you want.
This is a pic of her HOME bunting kit I made up. I love it. I think she sells on eBay too, but it is the same price as her website x

Sorry Poppytoms, just read back and didn't realise you had bought a laser cutter. If you do start selling them, I'd be interested too xx:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0

Lol at you getting excited thinking about it, i've been lying in bed all week with ideas flying through my head!
Initially we bought the machine as hubby realllllly needed it what with his hobby and it would be oh so helpful for work and apparently a man can never have too many tools UGG UGG haha I let it go as i just thought look at all the crafty stuff and shoes i can buy whilst reminding him he bought that ridiculously expensive machine :rotfl:
But now i actually love it, i had planned on making things for family and friends and if i get enough courage (it only took me two years to speak to you guys on here so may take a while lol) i may even attempt craft fairs or at very least the school fair.
But now with all the interest we've had in the shapes from you crafty people then i think we'll have a go at selling the blanks, suppose it makes sense really. Ebay fee's are holding me back at the mo as we would have to charge more than i'd like to for the blanks to cover the fee's guess thats why some sellers on there are quite expensive so i might try through my blog and facebook to start with.
Over the next few days i'll try get some pictures on and then you can all have a look and order what you'd like.
We will also be able to do custom blanks, as long as we can draw it, we can cut it
Think it would have to be a bit of a word of mouth thing.
What do you reckon? Does that sound like it could work?0 -
Hi PoppyToms! Been watching from a far, if you start selling the blanks i'd be very intreseted!! I don't think you'd be able to sell anything on here, so have you got a facebook page? You'd be able to advertise freely there! Going to go have a look at your blog now
Looking forward to seeing your pictures

Oh Poppytoms, just having a snoop at your blog! Your prices seem very reasonable. Can you do like plaques? Or letters? Really need some lettering.

Thank you DottyDee:grinheart
I'm glad you like it, yes i can do plaques and letters, my hubby is working away until Wednesday so i can't get him to cut them out to show you all, i've put everything i have got at the moment on the blog but after wednesday there will be more.
My Facebook page isn't ready for public viewing yet lol, i was doing it for Family and friends to order decorated personalised gifts but i think i will have to adjust it to help with the blank shapes.
So much to do! lol...the children have gone back to school today and i'm not back at work until tomorrow, think i need another week off0 -
Hi Poppytoms!
No problem, my ebay auctions will be finished tomorrow evening so i'll have some money to spend on some wood pieces
Little ladies birthdays coming up so thinking of making her something to go along side the mountain of toys she is going to get from everyone! I will deffo be ordering some bunting for my littl guy and some love hearts like the one you did for your neice. What kind of fonts do you? As i have some plaques here that need my kids names on. Do you do the scroll one joined up? Or is it seperate? Doesn't matter either way just wondered
You shall be hearing from me soon Poppy! Off to pick little guy up from pre-school then get the grumpy old man up so he can help me with some housework (i can dream). x
