Evening everyone.
My daughter thought there was a craft thread somewhere on this forum, and I think I've found it! I've been reading through, and there are some wonderful ideas on here, so could I join you, please? I make mostly greetings cards but, since I tend to accumulate lots of 'bits', ideas for other crafty items to make are always welcome.0 -
OOOO I'm loving the buzz about this thread! well my plan for a crafty day didn't happen and I have a busy week ahead so looks like it will be the weekend again before I can get properly crafting again! Although spent some time today watching videos on felting....I have an awful habit of wanting to try everything at the same time.....:o
oh and hello to all the new faces *waves*0 -
Welcome bearcub. Hope you bring and take lots of ideas from here. Goodness I have only been AWAL for a few hours today and this thread has grown, wonderful eh!Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

Many thanks to MidnightRaven for the mulled wine links, I'm definitely going to have a go (or several - got to test it to make sure I've got it right).
I made almost all of my Christmas presents this year. I tried to post some piccies but they were declined as I'm a new user.0 -
i dont know how many posts you need to make before posting piccies
i obviously had nothing interesting to show in my early days:rotfl:
someone else will know,
we LOVE photos:D0 -
you are so right Sue
i think a lot of people would prefer to buy the bunting made
i was thinking from a money making stance, for those who have craft stalls
having some made up, and the kits would be great
then both parties are catered for
there will be more profit in the kits
cutting is easy is you are cutting lots from the same fabric with a rotary cutter, so the kits would be quick & simple, and cheap to produce (and could use up a lot of scraps we all have lying around:rotfl:)
having some made up shows people what they could look like, or for those not crafty minded0 -
Has anyone got any ideas of something I could make for someone who enjoys walking/ hiking?
You could try a fleecy type tube that goes round the neck, with a slit up either side, half way so you have two panels that go down the back and the front. It cosies round the neck (and over the head if you want) too. I bought one of these a few years ago and thought about how easy it would be to make, guess what everybody got for Christmas that year!
The one I bought was a polopancho from Ideal World, but you can get them all over now, buy a fleecy blanket, it's cheaper than buying by the metre.
I have just copied my post from another thread, these are so warm and cosy and they don't bulk out your arms too, I use one all the time and my daughter loves her one. Obviously only in winter not in the summer!:rotfl:0 -

I've just checked the rules and didn't find anything. I'm new to MSE but I've been crafting for decades. Trouble is, I always make the same things so I need lots of new inspiration.0 -

Well, I'm all for avoiding spam. I'll just have to be patient.0
