    Amount spent today: 7p
Exercise done today: 2 hour walk

A whole day without spending anything

:A Errrr .... actually Mrs Devil was that not £1 you spent on a newspaper in the corner shop!!!!

I realised when stood in the supermarket today that actually I DID spend money yesterday. You see, it's such a bad habit I can even make something that happened, disappear from memory.

Today I spent 7p in the supermarket (and a £5 voucher from petrol) total using cash I had in my purse, got a bargain on some veg, so at least we'll eat reasonably healthy until the week-end, using up leftovers. If I can make it through to Sunday without a big shop, that will save me a weeks shopping off the budget (and put money back in the pot for DH birthday).

So out of 2 days that'll be NO NSD's so far for me then!!!

Have updated my year goals again to try and keep a bit of focus.

Might even start up the tally again that worked so well in 2010 - did get a bit boring after a while mind you. Will give it a go anyway.

Well, we started the jigsaw puzzle - took us collectively an hour + just to do the border ... how many days left in 2012?

Have said goodbye to the Christmas Tree, it's coming down tomorrow. So sad! Still looks fresh as anything despite being in a warm room for the past month. I love Christmas Trees.

Being the last non-school night, had a glass of wine with dinner that was a major family hit. I didn't have any marinade, so sort of mixed up some left over sweet chilli dip with soy sauce and bunged some pork fry steaks in that and hey presto they all loved it!

Made some ice-cream out of all the out of date yogurts in the fridge. We now have delicious blueberry / vanilla and also some mango and pineapple yogurt ice-cream to last us for the next month! Hooray.

Welcome bonnington, and thanks for joining in. All hints and tips very very welcome. I will definitely need kept a hold of from time to time and appreciate you being here.

    Day 3

    NSD's in January 0/5
Amount spent today: £6.50 ASDA; £14.00 history; £37.85 dance stuff for DD3

So, erm, that's not a very successful day then is it!!!

The £6.50 was largely cat food and a couple of whoopsie joints of meat and bread / milk etc. The dance stuff DD gave me £30 towards it as that was the deal, however, the rest is completely mine.

Spent today taking down the Xmas decorations - the house looks so bare :-(. Have got major wind damage as well - but can't even bare to face that today - will come back later on that one!!!
  • Hi ceebeeby, I will be subscribing. We have a similar amount of debt and I am definately in it for the long haul ! Loving you shiny new diary already !

My decorations are all down now as well, but I am actually loving it looking so bare and clean and tidy, the only problem I have now is I really fancy a bit of re decoration here and there !

**yawn** wow - I forgot this time of the morning existed!! Good Morning

    Day 4

Today's resolution is to do everything I mean to do to be good. It's not going to be an NSD day as I'm going to go to an exercise class tonight!

On the plus side, I'm going to send back everything I bought from the catalogue recently and that should make that £100 better off.

Hello Pinotgrigio - scary numbers aren't they. I spent the whole of last year being terrified and think I actually put myself off trying to get it sorted! Anyway, have little choice now, because they're becoming pretty overwhelming!

Todays aim is to not eat too much; do some much needed exercise and start a Christmas 2012 gift project :-D !! Have a good day everyone.

Scary numbers but totally Do-able ( If thats the correct spelling, I know what I mean !!) Made myself ill with the worry last year, but am determined not to go down that road again. You seem far more organised than me with all of your lists and goals. I have them, but they are still in my head, not quite made it down on paper / or in my diary yet !!

    Enjoy your day !

*** this post is a selfish rant because I'm craving chocolate - avoid if you can't be bothered with girly whinging***

okay, so far I've had 2 yogurts for breakfast; left-over risotto and 2 more yogurts (best before yesterday so needed used up!!!) and a satsuma for lunch - I NEED CHOCOLATE!!! I think my body is suffering from a lack of anything unhealthy and it's still only mid-day - I've another 10 hours of being awake to get through (maybe I could go to bed early????).

Hello and a very warm welcome to hopelessly hopeful and JWIL - and thanks Pinot for the words of encouragement. They really do help!

On the positive side, I've attached a pedometer, so I'm now going to go and walk 2000 steps just to say I've done it - and that might help to forget the chocolate (who am I kidding!!).

Still think I'm on target for no major shop this week - even if I do keep going to buy whoopsies - that will just about last me through next week as well actually ... although I need to do a meal plan for the rest of the month just to be sure!

Off for a walk now I think .....
