Not really, tbh I'm using it more for keeping a tally of what I've spent against the months budget so I can try and keep within the limits. When its gone, its gone IYSWIM. It's really easy for money to drip out of the bank though if I aren't consciously thinking about it - I have learnt that
. Its making me forecast too so I can think about how [STRIKE]much[/STRIKE] little I have left once I've done the things already in the plan. As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0 -
In my ongoing quest to get life sorted I actually submitted meter readings for gas and electricity for the first time in years. Turns out I had paid way over what I needed to for one and way under for the other. The difference between the two is £200 in my favour so hopefully I can get that back and pay it towards the debt mountain. Am quite pleased about that. Have also switched to energy smart so can hopefully get the consumption down a bit as I am a gas guzzler. Have asked about free loft insulation and cavity wall insultation too. I'm not expecting them to say yes for a couple of reasons but you never know

Hope you are all having a good day xAs God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0 -
Hi Scarlett,
We had the cavity wall insulation done and I have to say it does make a difference. The house retains the heat so much better than before.
Payday is always the best day of every month
Just keep swimming!0 -
Cheers Itsa
Just realised I posted that I thought they would when I meant they wouldnt - its a leasehold property and I'm not convinced that it will meet their T&Cs. We will see though - have my fingers crossed. I'm sure it would make a massive difference to the heating and its definitely not getting any cheaper :O
Went through my DDs this evening and realised that one during Feb went out for £12.50 less than I thought so a little more paid off the Barclaycard. Almost through the 15% barrier now, will hopefully do that this month as its only another £50 or so to get there and I should be able to manage that. Unless something goes badly wrong anyway! As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0 -
I have absolutely no idea what is going on with the utilities - they have randomly added £200 in charges now to the account. Am being impatient waiting for the statement. Hopefully all will become clear soon!As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0

All good thanks, had to pay out a lot of money already this month so could be tough sticking to the spending budget. Cant believe its still three weeks to payday  but never mind. I hopefully dont need much now.
Quiet weekend with the sky box methinks :rotfl:As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0 -
No spend day here thanks to snow :A (I needed it :rotfl:)
Had a TV/film marathon yesterday and a super lazy day today. Going to do some weekly planning later and just about to swing a hoover round the house to take the worst of the dust off.
Going to do some week planning in a bit to eat healthily/make good use of time etc.
Hope you are all having a good weekend
