  • Hi Scarlett,

Hope you are OK? ;) Great news about the potential DFD :T
    Just keep swimming!
  • Cheers all, I'm good thanks itsa - hope you are too. Will be catching up with all the diaries later on today.

I'm ridiculously excited - have been able to sort out a balance transfer for my credit card that will save £100 a month in interest costs :j:j:j:j:j

Good news on two fronts - I'm credit worthy again (last year i was getting turned down for credit) and its 0% for 20 months so I can switch a little bit of money into the mortgage too while the rates are so low (at 3.94% it will be my new highest rate debt!)

It means I can pay off most if not all of the overdrafts first now and then I'll feel much more stable each month and know where I am a bit better :o
As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again
  • Good weekend - have spent absolutely nothing at all :j

Your doing fab! Great news on the balance transfer x
    Hope your well :)
  • Still chipping away! Have now cleared the overdrafts and got the credit card down to just under £5,800 thanks to getting a bonus at work and my loan is down to just under £600. That means in total I have paid off £6771 and repaid 51.6% of the total debt. The credit card is on 0% now and my loan only has a couple more months to go on it. Still on track to get debt free by the end of the year.

    Yay!

    Bet you feel great x
  • I am pleased, as always though I want it to be paid off yesterday :rotfl:I've got big plans for those monthly repayments :D

The hardest thing (that I am still learning!) is how to live within a set budget and prioritise the money properly. Definitely a steep learning curve there as I'm still pretty much broke the week after payday even with a decent monthly budget :o

  • Have got £15 in small change from the money box. I apologise in advance to anyone behind me in the supermarket self scan queue tomorrow. Please understand its not to inconvenience you, just to avoid the coinstar daylight robbery.
