Well the very first thing you have to do is source a diary/planner - not a journal for thoughts and feelings, a proper time planner. You can use paper/pc/phone whatever as longs as it can be close to you all the time. Thats day 1 :D Stick with it - it gets better

Oooh goody, I do that already with my iphone. It's a work one, but I put personal stuff in there too so I only have to look in one place.

  • Well the diary thing basically seems to be about taking control for what you do. Write down what it is and if you dont like the look of your schedule then change it. There is quite a bit about making time for yourself but I have the opposite problem if anything :rotfl:. Also some stuff around challenging yourself - if you are stuck doing things you dont want to do then why are you doing them? Why is it so important? How can do you it differently etc. That will do for today - will remember more tomorrow. It does get better than this though.

In other news, actually made it a fitness class this evening :j. Had a bit of a to do with my overbearing mother and that will come to a head soon I can tell :o.

Still not spending much - about £3 today so thats all good. Had a couple of cheques in too from music magpie so when they cash thats another £40 off something.

Long haul now until payday next week - lots of time, no plans and no money. Will have to try and do something useful though - research some new hobbies, get the fall out with the 'rents over and done with etc. Maybe even some spring cleaning  (lets face it that wont happen though :p).

Onwards and upwards, hope you are all having a good day x

Anything exciting going on in the world?

  • Good morning hope all is well :)

Thank you for the meal planner it looks good :D I definalty need to get into something and get this weigght gone! x
  • Excellent let me know as and when you want any more.

Mixed day today - spent hardly anything and plodded on at work. Tried to have a subtle chat with the 'rents about backing off out of my life a bit with mixed results. Will have to come back to that one soon. Basically while they are still so close they dont see a problem in keeping track of my every move grrrr . The only real solution I think is to try and move. I wouldnt get another mortgage and have paid so much in interest on this one that I want to keep chipping away (assuming I could sell it anyway :rotfl:) that I would have to try and rent this one and rent another one somewhere else - definitely suboptimal

Better get cracking on the debts as would ideally like to have a years mortgage payments in the bank before moving anywhere just in case. Will keep going with the 'rents but I really dont see what I can do. Should add that my younger sibling who lives further away has none of this interfering. Pants :o:(

Will try and find some happiness book gems soon to motivate us all :D :rotfl:

It's because they love you and want the best for you. Please tell them that it could drive you away, that'll be the last thing they want and surely it will make them give you space.

  • Banwa is right, they would probably be horrified if they knew that their meddling/over bearing nature is making you consider moving. Although I often think, if I could pay my debts off, with the extra money I had per month we could move to something slightly bigger and have a slightly bigger mortgage..... talk about running before we can walk :rotfl:

I am a real "list" person. I make lists nearly every day of the things I need to do. I think it motivates me slightly to see them being crossed off.

I seem to have lots and lots of acquaintences but not many true friends and so I also feel lonely. I think I bare more of my soul on here than I do to any person in the flesh. :o
    Just keep swimming!

Thanks, I'll keep trying. I really don't want to have to move right now as I can see towards the end of the year that I should be able to throw some money at the mortgage - if I can snowball a lot of the current payments I make for loans and cards and student loan I should be able to at least double what I currently pay on the mortgage and that will have a massive difference. Either that or live the high life for a bit. As you say though running before walking :rotfl:

Trying to do a bit of a forecast to what I can afford to pay on debts next month. Going to try and have a really lean month again and pay a good few hundred £ off the debt. Cant decide whether or not to pay it all off on payday and then its done or stretch it out over the month :rotfl:.

  • Hello hope your well :)
  • Good thanks, busy day at work. Think the parents have fallen out with me after yesterday's subtle words. God knows what would have happened if I'd actually said what I was really thinking, probably some sort national shift to Defcon 5 and Kate Aide and Nato arriving on the doorstep to start the peace keeping mission . Not going to let it bother me though - need to break the cycle and may as well start now. See how that goes - I usually back down as I dont like confrontation :o.

Moneywise another cheap day at work - only £1.50 for lunch. Had to grab some food on the way home though so another fiver to add to the total as I've got work to do and nothing readily cookable.

Debtwise I'm just waiting for things now - cheques to clear, credit card statements to come through, payday :rotfl: so cant do much more at the moment.

Hope you are all well x
