What can I do with a packet of meringue nests? Don't fancy the usual fruit and cream combo

You could dunk them in melted chocolate then fill with little easter eggs :easter_ba

  • Have to declare half a jar of pesto with a thick fur coat..... so 40p wasted to add to total bbbboooo!

I wish i had frozen it in ice cube tray straight away ... it grew the coat very quickly - less than a fortnight.

Ah well... am still really chuffed with total so far this month - thanks for all your fab ideas :beer::beer:

Pesto is far too expensive to waste although I will agree yours sounds as though it was past the point of no return. Apart from the usual pasta, it's great to liven up sandwiches, for dipping foccacia in, improving couscous salads. I tend to extract the dregs out with just a little olive oil (and a good shake!) and spoon over cherry tomatoes.

  • Can anyone help me?
I have a 400g pot of coconut yoghurt desperately needing used up, and there's only so much smoothie anyone can drink.
Am I right in thinking I can use yoghurt in cake making? Or should I use it in a curry or something?
I've been naughty the past week and thrown a few bits and pieces away that I would normally have used up so am wanting to get back on the wagon and stop wasting.

I know I have used plain yoghurt in a recipe for muffins - coconut muffins sound really nice.

Had a disaster yesterday - had to throw out half a loaf of bread out and a couple of bagels -I moved my my bread bin last week as I noticed that stuff wasn't keeping as well in it as usual(its been in same spot for years not a problem before) but this time the bread was really mouldy (not just a few spots) and it felt "sweaty" the bagels were on the same route too.

So now need to declare 70p (bought with MOC & whoopsie) not bad ,but bad enough.

I have never made a smoothie before but I have a large tub of raspberry yoghurt, a manky looking banana and some natural yoghurt. Would this work if I threw it all in together?

    Umm.

I'm not sure how well raspberry and bananas go together - but if you fancy it, then by all means try it :)

Otherwise, slice your banana, freeze it - then make your smoothie with just that and the plain yoghurt.

For the raspberry yoghurt, perhaps use it as part of the liquid and make buns/muffins with it? (I do this with orange and/or lemon curd. Works a treat :))

Freeze the banana? That sounds interesting but certainly doable with the yoghurt.

I think the raspberry yog I could decant into a smaller pot and take with me to work. I dont really like muffins.

Um, perhaps the banana and yoghurt wasnt my brightest idea! :D
