Hey Jarus
I don't suppose you have the banana bread recipe lurking around do you?
I have 3 bananas that have got around 9 hours left before they go past my very strict banana eating deadline. I don't think I could stomach 3 bananas at the moment so they may have to be baked with rather than eaten 'raw'.
Hi again
Another good banana recipe is "Microwave Banana Pudding" also on the Good Food website. Definitely a hit as a pudding in our house.

Thanks Jarus,
I think I will try the banana bread tomorrow (I have some pretend-butter-like-spread that needs using up to spread on it) and then the pudding for next time.

Is there something wrong with this thread or is it that genuinely nobody has posted anything (which I also find odd!)0

Hi Firemunchkin
This thread can go quiet at times - maybe it's because we're all getting to be pros at using things up so it can be days before we have anything to report!
I lurk around most days though, hoping that someone will ask for help using something up as I love thinking of food and recipes (but maybe I'm just a bit odd!)0 -
Please can anyone suggest how to use up a half jar of leftover mince pie mince? I really don't want to make any more mince pies. I am thinking maybe some cake or something - any ideas?31.5/1000

I make mince pie flapjacks, they're lovely. Just replace the fruit/nuts with mincemeat.0 -

Thanks - being a newbie I was surprised! But do you have any suggestions for my green olives? I don't think they'll make good bread as they're too bitter (compared to black olives).
Am making my very first veg stock now, with all the trimmings etc that I've been saving - it is smelling pretty pungent so hopefully that's a good sign. Am intending on using some of it in an irish stew tomorrow evening.
Used up 1/4 of a celeriac (been in the fridge for weeks) grated raw into some mashed potato - yummy but the OH didn't use it all, so have put the rest into water with some lemon. Haven't looked at it yet so hopefully will be able to put it with some grated carrots for a salad this eve.0 -
