Just met up with my friend from Camp America. We must have looked a right pair, she is full of a cold and I am all spaced out due to vertigo meds! :rotfl:. but we had a nice hot chocolate and gossip. I popped to New Look and George to see what shoes they had in the sales cos I'm a size 9 and sometimes can get a bargain in the sales. I found a lovely pair of silver sparkly heels for £7 which will be fab for next Xmas
. Also went to M&S for some yogurt, they had lots of YS food stuff but was only reduced by about 30p! So left it all.
It's freezing and blowing a gale now here
I'm going to wrap up in layers and take my duvet to the couch and watch a film I think. No uni work today, can't see well enough - words jumping everywhere!
Have a good evening all

Ah! You can buy a plug charger from Amazon/Ebay for a couple of quid so you can use a plug socket instead of the computer. Or if you have a USB plug then it can go in there, I use my HTC phone charger plug!

There is no pattern to mine, although it does flare up more when I'm tired or stressed, which I am neither at the moment! I have it daily, but have got used to the little spells. Just so fed up of it, keep thinking I'm on the mend and then get a bad spell

Had a lovely lunch with our friends. DS now wishing he'd come too - he was afraid there'd be loads of people there. In fact he'd have known everyone. Ah well, tis done now.
Forgot to say earlier, popped into town while at the gym and bought all the cards I'll need for next year at just under half price. Just need to make sure I remember exactly where I put them...perhaps a note under Dec 1st in next year's diary?? Glad I wasn't the only one who 'failed' at the sistercas fund - made me feel much better!

I have been on a de outraging mission again. Sorted out the kids books and some toys so have a nice pile to give to the CS

Am a bit limited to what else I can sort out until the conservatory gets built (which I am leaving in H's hands
). I could do with a big sideboard to put computer printer in and some of my craft stuff but can't get one until conservatory is built as no where to put it
Still I can at least whittle down the toys a bit........
Beth so sorry to hear about your friend xxxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Phew! Just read through all today's posts so far.
FMW: Don't be despondent and don't make my mistake. I also had to watch all my friends getting married and having babies, and yes, it was hard. So I married the first likely man who asked me. BIG MISTAKE. Don't you make it, there are worse things than being on your own, believe me.
JulieG: OK. Christmas is over now. Our bated breath is desperate to become un-bated.
and Uolypool - your poor dear children. We can put up with let downs and broken promises but let it happen to our children and that's a different matter. From the last time I ushered my exH out of the door, just on 30 years ago, my two sons have not received as much as a Christmas or birthday card from their father. Amazingly, they never mentioned it, they seem to have expunged him from their lives completely. His loss.
CG: well done you for threading the needle. :T It's all up hill from here.
Sunflower: Don't think I'm non-stick or stainless steel, but I can offer you a good thick bottom.:D:D:D
Well today I've cleared the hall of bags and boxes and we can get in through the front door. We can hardly open the diningroom door, but that's another story.
Jacket Potatoes for lunch, with cheese and salad. Don't think I'll need to eat again today, yesterday I pigged out on chocolates and suffered for it. Threw the rest of the box away and re-wrapped the boxes left, to be given away when I can. Have to be very careful not to hurt anyone's feelings so they will have to go to people far, far away. We had so many boxes of chocs and biscuits that it would take till next Christmas to get through them. Let blessings be heaped upon the couple who gave us a big basket of fruit - a pineapple, bananas, plums, oranges, kiwis apples, pears, mangoes ....it's gorgeous.
Not attacked any sales. I so hate shopping which is not very OS. Have been reading A Wartime Christmas, and it somehow takes away any pleasure in unnecessary purchasing. I remember wartime christmases and the excitement of getting a 'magic' painting book and some home knitted gloves etc. I wouldn't wish to go back to that but...I dunno.
Enough! Back to the 21st century and my pile of ironing. Where did that come from?:(I believe that friends are quiet angels

Evening ladies, dr phoned back , he thinks its a viral infection so nothing serious. Ds4 woke up looking like c**p:mad::mad:, cough cough cough, chest hurting , not good poor old lad everything hits hit like a sledge hammer. So he is tucked up on the sofa with the fan on him, temp of 39 (well was about 20 mins ago). Cant see me getting to much sleep tonight , always get stressed and panicky when he is poorly as he is my medical miracale.
Ds2 is still so disgusted with his dad that he took his card and money back and said that he was sick of always being let down by him , and how must ds4 and dd feel. Ex just took the card back and shut the door:mad::mad::mad:. Like someone else mentioned take it out on me but taking it out on MY kids is a different matter. Think ds2 has seen his dad for what he really is.
