In the end we went to see Ted, very very funny, at times I was the only girl in the screening laughing along with most of the guys, and as my mate and I were among the oldest in there we picked up on alot of the 80's references that other people didn't.
I don't see the point in being a cow, I've got what I wanted, him out of my house and life, I feel bad enough that he walked away with none of the jointly purchased furniture, and left alot of his DVD's and books as he's nowhere to keep them without screwing him over financially (albeit the joint account only ever had household money in it so I'd have been screwing myself too). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Have been doing some online shopping again - used the telegraph voucher to order a couple of runners belts from sweatshop for delivery to my nearest proper store, will most likely be in the town in the next couple of weeks doing some mystery shopping so don't need to make a special journey to collect as the train fare is mor than the cost of delivery would have been.
Also ordered a photocanvas deal from wowcher, been thinking I need something else on my living room wall lately as the canvas I have of the spotty dog looks kinda lonely as the only thing on the walls. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I'll take that as another reccomendation for that then. I saw the trailer *ages* ago, and it's always a case with these things wondering whether they've put *all* the funny bits into the trailer...scubaangel wrote: »Have been doing some online shopping again - used the telegraph voucher to order a couple of runners belts
Runners' belts? Like bumbags?scubaangel wrote: »Also ordered a photocanvas deal from wowcher, been thinking I need something else on my living room wall lately as the canvas I have of the spotty dog looks kinda lonely as the only thing on the walls.
So now a stripey dog on the other wall?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

All the funny bits are def not in the trailer, but you will enjoy it more with a semi encyclopedic knowledge of 80's films
I reckon I could see it a couple more times and pick up on different references each time (what with being too young to remember 80's films the first time around etc).
Like bumbags, but not really....
Possibly a stripey dog, or alternatively one of the nice pics I have of La Gomera at sunset from the village headland. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Dispatched my mate back to the civilised north this morning, and spent the rest of the day mooching around the house doing some tidying up and cleaning to avoid doing the OU work thats due tomorrow.
Currently have dinner in the oven and am contemplating a shower and an early night (after I wipe up the water feature in the living room as the seal round the bath seems to have broken). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Well that depends on the 80's film.- Action films like Arnie ones - yes
- Films like The Breakfast Club - somewhat
- Horrors like Halloween - yes
- Horrors like Porkies...nope...

The film referenced most is Flash Gordon....so you should be fine.
Not sure - can I claim to be too young to remember bumbags?
Just need to choose a pic, I want to use one of the ones I've taken as I'd prefer for it to be something personal to me, just have to narrow the options down a little bit.
Am feeling a touch drunk this evening as I went in to Clapham this afternoon for a few quietish drinks with some friends, my ex was meant to be coming out but as usual didnt bother - and our other friends were for some reason surprised....It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Nope. You could try "the trauma blotted it out" though. Along with highly inflammable shell-suits...scubaangel wrote: »Just need to choose a pic, I want to use one of the ones I've taken as I'd prefer for it to be something personal to me, just have to narrow the options down a little bit.

Nah I think its more likely that our friends had no idea just how bloomin anti-social he is as previously I'd practically forced him to get on the train to social events with them after he was posted away from Central London. Luckily I make/made up for it by being my usual lovely happy (drunk) self, and didn't maim anyone accidentally, get kicked out of any pubs, or throw drink/food over anyone other than myself. All in all I think that counts as quite a successful evening (although I couldn't tell you who the phone numbers I found in my handbag belonged to - I'm fairly sure one is the new number of the guys who's leaving drinks it was).
Made another payment to the barclaycard cc this afternoon, as I was paid by one of the ms co's, so another £40 off the balance which covers some small ms spends from the last few day and reduces the balance again. I've also had my first statement from the MBNA, they want £31 by mid september, so once I've been paid I'll pay that off it and the remaining £14 of my typical payment to the barclaycard, which I then ought to be able to pay off completely by the end of Sept. After that I'll keep using it and paying it off monthly for MS purposes, and all the extra money can be paid to the MBNA so the balance will start coming down. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

So why does he say he's coming when he isn't?
I may not be the most socialble of people, but I said I'm going to a wedding do on Saturday - so I shall be there. Sans 'guest' and everything...scubaangel wrote: »Luckily I make/made up for it by being my usual lovely happy (drunk) self, and didn't maim anyone accidentally,
Which implied you maimed someone deliberately...scubaangel wrote: »get kicked out of any pubs, or throw drink/food over anyone other than myself. You could always just ring it to find out.
