Didn't go out last night, went to meet up with the guys at lunchtime and discovered that as expected two were almost incapable of speech already and the third was well on his way, I did text to see if they were still out when I was finishing work but didnt get a reply until lunchtime today - apparently they all wished they were dead due to some kind of headachey and sick feeling.....
I've another fun week of knuckling down to some last minute studying planned, as I have assignments due Tuesday and Thursday! Then I have to think about packing and finding money to take on holiday with me as that's rapidly approaching too! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Sounds like you missed out on a real "quality" night.

Funny isnt it, they said I was wrong when I predicted that joining three squaddies out on the lash for the day as a break from Olympic duties might not be the best evening plan for me - am just glad it was only the three I know who were out, as the others I suspect really would have caused some problems beyond the common garden Hangover today. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

OK so this morning I've had some bad news, I also have two OU assignments due this week one today one on Thursday, a doctors appointment and two mystery shops. When on earth will I learn to plan my life better?
The bad news actually came in two parts and frankly both were expected but could have done with not having the second part for a few more days. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

"Plan"? What is this "plan" of which you speak?scubaangel wrote: »The bad news actually came in two parts and frankly both were expected but could have done with not having the second part for a few more days.
Unfortunately - bad news arrives when it arrives...
Hope it's not too bad."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Not too sure what a plan is since I never seem to have one!
Nothing too major one thing a minor annoyance the second a fairly major inconvenience that now I know is going to niggle at me for a couple of weeks until I can get it dealt with properly, but both just mean I'm even more distracted and less motivated to actually get my OU work done than I would have been normally. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Hmmm, don't you hate it when bad news travels in packs - big hugs, and you know where we are (sort of) if you need us....:grouphug:0

The two are kinda linked, the worst one being the fact that the bloke I've been sort of seeing for a few weeks has been moved with work on 24 hours notice - which of course is the danger when you start seeing someone who's been sent to the area to work at the Olympics from elsewhere in the country, but he's got a posting back here in a few months so assuming things are the same we can look at picking up again when he's back here, the other much less 'bad' but I can't do anything to resolve it now until after my holidays. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Whoop whoop, today I have good news, one of my good friends who left where I work for forrin shores a couple of months back is home for a holiday, so he's planning to come over for a few drinks tomorrow after I finish my OU work.
I've missed him, he was great while I was dealing with the break up with the former Mr S and is one of a very small number of guy friends who I've never once felt uncomfortable around - which given people tend to refer to him as a lizard makes me wonder briefly what is so terrible about me that he's never exhibited those characteristics to me, and then fractions of a second later I remember that hes my mate and I don't want him to start doing silly stuff like that. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
