If it was a few pence here and there I would do the local thing but I just can't afford to and I have to make awful desicion to shop where my money goes further.
Same here. I'd much rather buy from a local indy but their prices are so much higher. I know it's because the supermarkets can afford to pay the farmers much less (or not at all in some cases from what I've heard) that they can charge much less. I'd love to support the local shops but my bank account is more important I'm afraid, if it's going to cost £5 a week more going to a greengrocer, Lidl it is.So far this week we have 'made do' with what we had in the cupboards etc. Apart from last night, I had a hellish day at work and was only in the mood for pizzaDH's eyes lit up with this suggestion, but rather than Domino's, I got 2 for £4 on the fresh MrA's pizza's. Bad me, but it could have been £20 :rotfl:
Love MrA make your own pizza things, so much better than dominos or pizza hut. They put a mountain of toppings on, I did think about getting some when I was up there today but DH has been going on about stir-fry all week so we'll be having that tonight instead.
I've been and done this weeks shopping, £11 something in MrA and £60 something in MrT. New total of £306.35. :j:j Only 10 more days to go and almost £200 left in budget. Would be extra nice to get it in under £400, but slightly too long to go for that I think.Clean credit file:12 mthsCar loan: FREE! :jTHE PLAN: 1.Pay off debt £8808.42(£3254.45, £1570.32, £2698.33, £0:dance:, £1000, £285.32) 2.Save monthly for Christmas/insurance etc £150 per month 3.Save for emergencies /£1500 4.Save for our B&B £????depends which one takes our fancy0 -

Happy Friday to you all! Been to MrM today and spent 81.10 so brings total up to almost £300 for month and still got to get to the 31st! I think it is still achieveable though as freezer is full and I have been quite inventive with dinners. I am ashamedly proud of myself as last night was the first night in a week when I gave the kids chicken dippers, waffles and spag hoops as all week I have made dinners from scratch and made the same for us all.
Plus by shopping in MrM I got 6p off my petrol so have filled up for the rest of the month!
Have a good weekend. Jedi xFinally getting my life on track. Onwards and upwards.BSC No 327GC Jan £336.91/£450GC Feb £0/£4000 -
