today is second shop of the month went to Mr T but most of the shelves were empty which meant I had to spend more to get less:mad:
did make some savings ie instead of 18 rolls of toilet roll for £7.69 I saw that 9 rolls (same own brand) was 3.50 so bought two of those instead :p

all in all I spent 73.75 instead of the 68.57 I had planned but did get an extra box of nappies in that which means wont need any more for another month off to update my sig now.

Edit to add I'm now at £91.65 of £250

Please may i join? I realise its a few days late, but have decided this is my year, 2012:T I am determined to make changes!
There are 3 teenagers and 2 adults currently living at home, plus the occasional hungry stepson and a returning daughter from Uni, my weekly shop is usually £120 a week, I would like to try to reduce this, if even by a fiver. So if I could be added for £115 a week please, that would be great. I decided that I am going to try for a whole month to avoid doing "the big shop". I am going to attempt doing it the way my parents did, back in the day of black and white tv and power cuts :rotfl:, and menu plan and go each day to buy what I need for that evenings meal. I shall probably regret it, and overspend wayyyyyyy too much, but as we only have one car and DH has it during the day, I can only buy as much as I can carry ;).

Thankyou for all the terrific inspiration on here, I do think I am becoming rather addicted :o
:happyhear Not everyones cup of tea, but just right for me!! :coffee:

Wow this thread moves so fast.

Hugs to everyone who's having troubles at the minute xxx

Updated my total as had a £9.00 spend today in co-op, 3 packs of low fat cheese and mugshots for lunch next week at work. Had 2 NSD on weds and Thurs though these were unintentional, seems to be when I set myself a proper target for NSD I just become disheartened that I dont seem to stick to them so ive decided not to habe a target but just take them as an unexpected bonus. Probably be spending tomorrow as I might have a nip up Aldi when the kids are at dancing. Dinners are planned for the next week and a half and just need a few bits for them probably less than a £10 spend but need a few bits for pack up especially as hubby has joined me back on slimming world so need plenty of fruit and veg in.

I don't know if you have a L*dl near you but from 12th January they have mugshots 4 for £1.96 either creamy cheese, roast chicken, thai style and spicy sweet and sour. This was over on the food shopping and grocery thread.

SO ive changed my mind :) ive decided to join :) but am goin to use a annual figure rather than a monthly as i dnt tend to do much shoppin and pick up lots of offers from work :)my annual figure will b £1020 which is a weekly figure of £20 :) although i have enough food in the freezer to last me a lifetime.. theres only me and my little girl (whos at her dads half the week) think ive got 3 whole chicken (88p EACH!!!), 3 pks of pork loin steaks (£1 EACH), 3 packs of beef mince (50p EACH), lots of cooked chicken packs, lots of sausage (richmond for 15p a pack) so have plenty of food to go at jus want to try new things as i get bored easily, have found a few recipes to try :)
