    Morning All,

Hugs being sent for you Brassic Park and angelatgraceland. Welcome back and sincere condolences Mrs Money Penny.

We now have two of James Bond's secretaries on the challenge so it's going to be important to ensure we know which one we are talking to!

We're another King Edward lover here though they can be difficult or very expensive to get hold of.

I just popped on to say that I've just had my deals list through from Coop and thought I'd list a couple of things that appear to me to be good value (though as you know I don't buy sm meat and rarely veg so am not sure) and may help someone?!?

Healthier Choice Elmwood British Skinless Chicken Breast fillets 540g £3.75 (half price marked packs)

    Activia 165g 36p
    Frijj 500ml 66p
Elmwood Extra Large Boneless Pork Shoulder Joint £2.70 per kg

    Cathedral City Lighter 350g £2.19
    Muller Light 6x165g/6x175g £1.64
Coop Stonebaked Margherita Pizza 295g £1.49

    Available from 11th January:
Coop No Added Water British Ham (slices) 100g £1.29
Coop Medium British Beef Frying Steak £6.49 per kg

Had a lovely evening yesterday round at friends for a film night (they have big screen tv) and she cooked hm kebabs, hm satay and baked rice while another friend supplied a gorgeous hm apple & blackberry pie for pud. It was lush.

Got some washing on the line and another load about to finish and must get on with some cleaning today.

I was very pleased with myself yesterday to have cleared out my chest of drwers and took four bags of too small or didn't like any more clothes to the charity shop. Go me!

Sort of spoilt it though at the end of the day when I ordered a very very expensive trouser suit on line. I like many others was fascinated by the Mary Portas range that is supposed to be for 'real' women as opposed to the stick insects most companies design for these days (Ooh sorry that was almost a rant :o). The clothes range was though astronomically priced and I could no way afford £275 for the jacket and £160 for the trousers. In the H**se of Fr*s*r sale I got both for £128. We'll see how they are when they arrive, reviews say they come up small in size despite the hype and promo so they may need to go back.

I really do need a good suit though for work as mine are starting to show their age now. I have bought separates over the past year (and a couple of suits because they were cheap in the sale - never again I just don't really like them but thought I'd save money and they'd 'do':doh::naughty:). My good suits are now about five or six years old and do have life in them but nevertheless they are showing their age. I do need a good suit for work believe me, which is why the sale cheapies were a stupid stupid buy that I now bitterly regret.

Sorry, off topic ramble through the need to firmly fix in my brain that buying cheap does not save in the long run for certain purchases.

Right better see if the other load of washing is ready as the sky is starting to grey up again.

    See you all later,
    Spigs

Morrisons shop came to £57.61 (they had some great offers!), minus the £5 off voucher that's a spend of £52.61 to add to my total.

    Best buys in Morrisons were
    - wholemeal bread 60p a loaf (so bought 7)
    - John West tuna £2.99 for 4 tins
    - Youngs fish fingers £3.99 for 60 (boxes of 20 for that price at B1G2F but I wouldn't think anyone would pay that for one box!)
    - Welsh cheddar £1.74 a pack (so I bought 4, we get through cheese) Also Cat City lighter was £1.99
    - Birds eye petit pois 700g for £1. My treat, DH hates peas, I love them.

Really annoyed with myself, I though I had picked up the size 5 cheap nappies as they were in that shelf space but I got home to find they are a size 4, will try squeezing her in. For £1.43 a pack they are fine and save me money in between using washables.

Freezer is now bursting with bread and meat so I need to inventory it AGAIN and make a meal plan for the rest of the month...

Spiggle - thanks for posting that, I was in co-op last night buying chicken and bacon (reduced, lots of it) and didn't really look at the offers. Some of those may be worth getting so I'll pop in again Monday night and maybe get more bargains too.

Brassic & angelatgraceland - Big hugs to you both x

janiepopps - Good luck for today x

A NSD for me today. I got some pork medallions out of the freezer last
night, am thinking pork curry for tea to stretch them out as there are
3 of them and 5 of us plus I quite fancy a curry.

It is cold here today, but lovely and sunny, it is amazing how good a
little bit of sunshine can make you feel :j

    Hi mrs-moneypenny,

No confusion, I meant the other Mrs Money Penny who has returned after losing her father.

You both have quite differently formed names so hopefully confusion won't reign!

The second load of washing is on the line, not sure its going to dry much though as the sun has firmly hidden itself behind clouds now and I decided to have my lunch roll that OH made me and cup of tea before tackling the dyson.

    All the best,
