Morning everyone
Small spend here today - £2.80 on 8 tins of salmon (reduced to clear in sainsbobs at 35p per can :j) and some ladies items (£1.98).
Am going back to work today as cold has finally decided to give up the ghost and leave.
Dinner tonight is turkey pie, mash and vegetables - would have been turkey and leek but our leeks aren't quite ready yet, they need fattening up ! Going to do next week's mealplan while that cooks, and then go shopping a bit later on this evening. I've got a few coupons I want to use.
Sending hugs to Brassic and anyone else who needs one.Save £12K challenge 2015 # 173£0.00/£10,0000 -
Morning, spent an accidental £5 last night on 16 toilet rolls from c0-op. I think this is a bargain as in my reckoning my normal mrT value ones cost approx 1.40 for 4 so 16 would cost £5.60 and the ones i bought from c0-op were nouvelle. Hope this is a bargain cos it felt very strange spending a fiver on loo rolls!
If you've a Home Bar*gains or Farm*foods near you - try the Nicky range. £2 for 9 or £3.99 for 18 - lovely and soft & quilted. HTH
Brassic so sorry to hear this and Mrs Money Penny sorry to hear your sad news too (((hugs))) for both.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
Just spent a whopping £98 in Mr S, I had to buy wine and nibbles as I have people coming over tonight and next Friday for my Birthday celebrations but there will be no meals out or takeaways this year and I hope people bring a bottle with them :beer::beer: to help with next Friday's drinks allowance
The other £65 ish was on groceries and now we are well stocked up for the rest of the month, I only have to buy milk, bread, veg and fruit now and the ingredients for a big meat-and-veg spag bol as I freeze them down in small portions for the kids and I've only got one left in the freezer  they have it once or twice a week as their repertoire of food isn't that great...Oh, and there is bound to be a toilet roll/foil/juice carton emergency later in the month so my final £50 will have to go on all of that. Lots of NSDs for me coming upDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

Online shop coming later so will update then too xx
Yes they are well worth having! I nearly always buy my loo rolls in Coop-one of the offers-I never buy the "Value" ones ! Offers like these are the reason I have about £20 worth of loo rolls in my loft!
The ones in farmfoods are also top quality and work out at £4 for 18(2 x 9)Looked in my freezer last night and got out half a carrier of chopped up carrots with a few parsnips mixed in and a couple of tubs of spag bol and a tub of swede. We have roasties left over from yesterday so that is today sorted-I hope! Put one of the baskets back in the freezer-there is never enough room to keep them there!
Getting hubby back from hospital today after he has had an infection-it keeps happening as he is on chemo. 3 family members all in hospital at the mo-not good at all-all in various states of"decay" comes to mind but its the wrong word!!!!!!!!:eek:MIL had a fall and is still in and not sure what will happen-my aunt is terminally ill and has not got long-hubby keeps getting ill but he will be home again-this year is not starting well. Must be positive and get out and do things I think-I am working tomorrow which is my one day of escape from "my world".Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
Spent 15.38 in sainsburys last night on nappies and washing liquid. The big 54 wash bottles of surf were on sale for 4.25 each so i bought 2. With a baby who is sick on everything and everyone and a 6 year old mud magnet, i do alot of washing ! lol!
Another 4 pounds this morning on cereal and rolo's in iceland. Ive spent ALOT of money this week but i have a meal plan for the next 2 weeks and im hoping i wont have to buy too much more. Nappies and cleaning products have taken up alot of my spends.
Going to New York in 3 weeks so need to save all the pennies we can !0 -
total up to around £70 , just spent £40 in l!dl and £18 in HB still need to go to @sd@ this aft , hopefully wont spend too much in there
been given a new SC and its twice the size of my old one , so i bought double the amount of meat ( diced beef and minced beef ) and thought i would do double and freeze one lot
didnt get any bargains though i always seem to miss them0 -

You are welcome, I hope you enjoy it.Hi Jollymummy
I did the same a couple of days ago - it's amazing how much there was in the freezer especially. I too put a list up and am crossing off as I use things up. I think I will also add freezer items too it as I buy them and that way I should always know what I have got in.:)
I must admit that I love making lists, my OH thinks I am weird as I have a list of freezer contents, store cupboard contents, a list of our meal plan etc. It just makes things easier when you are meal planning to know what you already have in stock and what you need to buy. My shopping bill has reduced significantly by trying to buy just what is needed.
I also do mothership's second purse system which means I have spare cash to buy items in bulk when they are at a good price and save money.
TraceyOfficially debt free :j0 -
Well I spent £14 in MrT when I came out of doctor's. £2.18 of that for for g-pig food, £6  was for 3 magazines and £5.85 for food and milk (which I will now take off my remaining total. I didn't need any of it - though the Lucozade is nice and comforting.0

My thoughts go out to you Brassic...
Small spend of just £1.39 spent on some squash from Mr S. No other spends are needed today because I'm having a pasta dish with things already in stock.
Day 2 of not smoking. Okay at the moment, but from previous attempts I know that day 3, and when having a drink is when I find it hardest. Must...stay...strong :-)Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300
