FOUND DOG- NOW REHOMED :)-What to do with a dog we found 2 weeks ago?

For the record, not all dogs that end up in pounds are put down after 7 days!
Many are rehomed, either directly from the pound or after moving on to a rescue.
Battersea Dogs Home is a 'pound'!0 -
That's a good point Person_one, and perhaps one that should have been emphasised earlier.0

I'm glad you bumped this thread Peachy. I've been wondering the same. She sounds like a lovely animal and I refuse to believe that someone somewhere can't be looking for her. Look at that photo: she's a beauty. Oh, if only I had a house and not a flat.......
OP: what happened to that possible new home your son mentioned?0 -
I've been thinking (bumpalicious) aren't dalmatians carriage-hounds? Doesn't that mean that they could run for a very long time? Perhaps this beautiful darling has come from a very long way away and may not have been intentionally "lost" at all?
You can tell that I don't want to accept that anyone anywhere could do such a thing, can't you, even when I know there are?0 -
Hi all
Sooooooo sorry I haven't updated this thread. I'm pleased to say that 'Mitzi' has a new forever home with a friend of our family. We kept her till 12th January as per the 28 days legal requirement, although she did have a trial few days just before at her new home to make sure she settled ok.
Thanks to everyone who posted
