Hey only just started using this site again after a few months off. I decided in Jan i wouldn't spend money on clothes and would say I've probably spent £75 so far I treated myself to a few new t-shirts when i got a work bonus and have had to buy pants and socks. Now i'm back on MSE I thought posting would give me the strength to continue for the rest of the year. Going to update my signature so everytime I consider going into a clothes shop I will think twice.
I thought i'd find it a lot harder than it has actually been. I find if I stay clear of the shop's the temptation isn't there. The only part i find hard is if i'm going out for a night and can't find anything to wear  but by the time i'm getting ready the shop's are shut so there's nothing i can do about it.

So, good news is, budget pretty well on track, bad new is that I'm going to the States on business soon and will be there over a weekend, which may mean (if I'm lucky and get any retail therapy) that my budget may get blown out of the water or at least severly dentedbut there are several stores over there I really like and are either too costly in uk (A&F) or we don't have here.
Sounds like you had better take an empty suitcase then;) Oh it will be lovely to have a a bit of retail therapy while your there though so enjoy.
I have gone through wardrobes and drawers and have filled my sack-need to arrange collection now.
Have been quite strict -but may go through wardrobe again to se if anything else can go in bag.

Possibly Country Casuals.
I have a random question which somebody may be able to help me with. I haven't lived in the UK for a few years so I'm not sure, do M&S still give a 5.00GBpound gift voucher if you donate an unwanted M&S garment to Oxfam?
Thanks.0 -

I believe so, or it may be that you have to spend £35 on new M&S stuff first in order to get the voucher.
I'll investigate for you & report back0 -

I've just had a look and it seems the scheme still runs, you get a voucher for £5 off a £35 spend. It's called shwopping now. There's T&C of course, Main one being 'voucher spend on clothing, home and beauty' so I guess that doesn't include food. Pity, I like their food and rarely buy it :rotfl:
