Indeed you were, and very well done. My apologies, obviously my tap dancing entrance distracted Lula-Hula from seeing your post :rotfl:Next month you'll have to put it in bright lights and out shine me
And I've just seen your post on the Debt Free Roll of Honour, so very well done to you again for getting rid of your debts. That was quite a slog you had there. :T LINK0 -

£30 to declare on the Fa7Fac3 dress I have been drooling over for ages. It was £45 but just went on sale and I wasn't going to wait as the 10s will sell out quickly. I did check online but the postage was silly so waited til I could get into town. Really pleased with it as it's such a lovely colour and will go through to autumn/ winter with tights as well as work with sandals in the 'summer'.
I reshuffled my spreadsheet a bit to show both challenge amounts and also what I've spent on exercise clothes and realised a bit needed swapping. So am at £226 for the challenge - not bad as this includes two dresses I will also wear for work, and gloves and a mac which will last years.
Exercise clothes are another £62 - mostly pole shorts and tops, plus the snow trousers I bought and didn't get to use(just as well they were only £20 from TKMx). Am not including those in challenge total as it would give me an excuse to avoid exercising and that would be false economy :rotfl:

Thank you Kerfuffle and Lula-Hula! Your posts have made me really happy
I'd set myself the challenge of getting debt free by 40. Not buying clothes this year helped me bring my DFD forward and I beat it by 1 year and 4 months.
It's also given me a new perspective on 'wants' and 'needs'. I now don't want to buy any clothes again unless I actually need them.LBM Feb 2005 - £36000:o DFD 28th May 2012

I have resisted the sales so far. Trying to remind myself that I really don't need anything especially as I haven't been losing weight like I want to.VSP member #250

I succumbed to a summer trilby hat in New Look today for the princely sum of £4. I do love a good hat!
I also bought my first pair of running shoes in a running shop in Edinburgh for  money! More expensive than blimmin' leather winter boots. So I had better get out there and do some running now! I also had to run on a treadmill in the shop in bare feet with my jeans rolled up to my knees, it was very attractive :rotfl:
I'm not counting exercise stuff in my budget either or I wouldn't buy any and then have another excuse not to exercise! No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018

Rosa, I've spent nearly the same as you on exercise clothes for boot camp and pole this year - although going to need some new trainers soon as well (yes, actual need as my 'garden' ones have just been consigned to the bin and my current exercise ones are next in line for the garden as over 6yrs old now )
To give you a chuckle, pole attire purchased inlcudes such items as:

(before anyone wonders, it's not usual class wear, it was an outfit for a performance / photo shoot)
