The worst presents I've ever received were a Dreamcast from my dad when I was about 10, complete with plenty of fighting games for him to play (not so great for a 10-year-old girl!) and from a narcissistic ex boyfriend I got a modelling shot of him in a frame, complete with an AUTOGRAPH!!!!

lol, sounds likea k**b hope you dumped him soon after!

My BIL is absolutely useless at buying presents, we've even resorted to Secret Santa on my DH's side of the family so that only one person has to suffer BIL's 'gifts' and we had hoped that he'd put a little more thought into it (rather than the chilli grinder I got one year that didn't even work and the Power Rangers DVD that DH received!). Sadly DH was the recipient this year and was given this. Words fail me! It'll just look lovely on the bookcase with our pretty wallpaper behind and a vase of flowers next to it!

You'd have thought that when the big 'Rocky' print that OH recieved for his birthday never got displayed he'd have realised that we're not massive fans of his decorating style... but it hasn't sunk in! I wonder if my dismayed look and comment that, 'You really don't want me to have a nice house do you?!' has hit the mark this year! :o Doubt it....

That would have been my dream present! I collect them :o

Re Kindles: I got one last year and I always thought I'd prefer real books. But I absolutely love it! I love the fact that you can get something new to read at any time of the day or night, I love the free/cheap books, I love the fact that you can 'turn pages' without taking your gloves off if you're reading on a cold railway platform.

The worst one this year for me was Twilight Eclipse on DVD from my sister (no offense meant to twilight fans) but I am a heavy metal, horror film kind of person. The film I hate the most is most is Twilight (followed by Sex in the City), I hate soppy, teenagery films. Why on earth she would give me that I have no idea, except we don't get on so it was probably on purpose. Plus it was obviously an ex-rental, as it was written all over the disk.
The worst overall was the first year myself and the oH were together and he got me cheap purfume (I'm allegic to purfume), dodgy ear rings that were meant for 70year olds, feriro roche (I hate them) and a stationary box.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

Was confused by other inlaws who gave my daughter some white choc maltesers for her 1st Xmas when she was only 5 month's old??

OH got me a horrible necklace for my 30th. It was really cheap looking and not my sort of thing at all. To be fair he'd got me another present which I absolutely loved, just a shame I still have to wear this d*mn necklace a couple of times a year and pretend to like it!

You need to send ALL of those presents to that show on Youtube. I think it's called 'Will It Blend?' :D
