Actually think it was the 5 for £5 that I did, Have oyu done your second one in the same name and address? Thought I'd use a different account for the payment to come from but not sure if I should use my husbands name.

I just used the same details but might have had a little gap in between them. The problem I found is when I come to cancel them and they ask for a reason when I phone up. Have tried to cancel online but can never work out how to do it.

I've had 3 for £3 on both CrossStitcher and Cross Stitch Collection and it's been fine. You do have to phone to cancel and they will ask why you're cancelling but you can tell them anything you like and they still have to cancel it. I think I told them I didn't like the new style CrossStitcher (true) and that I couldn't afford to keep the Cross Stitch Collection sub going after the offer period (also true). It was fine and I never had them try to take money when they shouldn't.
I'm doing the 3 for £3 with craftseller at the moment but I'm not finding it all that useful. I've only had one issue, has anyone else read it and what did you think?

My whole stitching is in such a mess. I need thread storage. What do you find is the best?

Hi, I use these, I got this medium one from eBay because it came with a winder and some bobbins, but you can get the larger ones for about the same price from Home Bargains.
As you can see though, you might need a few :D I have loads of skeins left to wind but I ran out of room and I'm not taking all the beads out of my larger boxes cause I would still need to find somewhere to put those, so just need to invest in a couple of the bigger boxes :D

Was someone looking for an eagle at some point. This one is nice. This one is gorgeous but a lot more expensive.

Yep, that would have been me, last year I wanted one and I did find a perfect one, however, I have since found another but it has room for some text that I wanted to put on it, so I don't have to worry trying to figure out where I can put the text on this first eagle instead :D

Speaking of which, here is a little update, while I am here lol

Hi 23rdspiral, I was only thinking yesterday that it had been a long time since I'd seen you post! Belated Happy Birthday to you, sounds like you got loads of great stitchy stuff. That'd be great if you can look, I might end up with a few princess designs to choose from after all :D

KatyLiz I have this ready to be nudged if you're interested?

Thanks, that would be great. It'd make a fab cushion for my daughters room :)

elliep- you said you had some simple princess designs, are they very easy? Just wondering as my daughter wants to stitch something 'proper' for the very first time, but it would need to be simple. She has poor eyesight and bad hand eye coordination, so I can imagine a stitching disaster. But I guess everyone has to start sometime!

ps. Does everyone like the new heading/design of the site? It's annoying me and hurting my eyes, but I think that's cos I'm getting old and I don't like change :rotfl:

I don't liike the masthead katyliz I suggested he use pastel shades for the boxes as I think the bold makes it very "this is the first time I've designed something"'y.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

    Morning all.

Some great progress on your projects. A couple of questions I am hoping someone can help me with.

Does anyone know where you can get a poem converted into a chart - it is a reading that was done at my Dad's funeral.

Also, after going through some of my bargain old X-stitch magazines, I have seen a range of DMC mini Country Companion kits featuring Ed the Hedgehog. Managed to find one on ebay but no luck in any of the others. Does this ring bells with any of you please.

    Regards

How about starting off with a tapestry for your daughter. It is a little easier than a cross stitch design. As the pattern is printed on the canvas, and sometimes it is in blocks of colour. This one is nice

This princess cross stitch design is nice as well :D. I started off on tapestry when I was younger, not many mistakes to make, but I think I still make some lol.

The disney princess designs that I have are probably a bit more complex than a first project for a young person. They're also fairly big so would take a lot of sticking power for a newbie. I'd be happy to show you and you can decide for yourself if you like?
