bobbismummy There are lots of fans of WOCS on here and if you do a search you can read reviews of recent issues. Why try a subscription at £5 for 5 issues - plenty of time to decide if it is for you and if not then £5 isn't a lot of cash to have "wasted". Actually you could probably get your money back by selling the magazines if you didn't like them. I think magazine subs make brilliant presents
Saw that offers thanks, was thinking of going for that and cancelling the direct debit after the 5th issue so I could then start a subscription for 6 or 12 months0 -

Thanks for the link, I like blackwork and the challenge ones on here are good as they work out in rows which means once you've had enough you can stop. Have saved the link to favourites although when/if I get round to doing it I don't know.
With regards to cost of floss my local charges this amount as well. I have a lot of floss now so only need to replace when I run out of a specific colour. I try to save the details and then place an order with Louise from Across Town. Have always found her very helpful and quick, as well as good on price.
I'm going to try to change my avatar now to the turtle, if I can remember how to do it.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Hey all!
I've finished panel number 3 - it's really beginning to come together (and I'm only of a quarter of the way through...)

When I saw yours it has made me go out at the weekend and buy a frame and I got it finished and on the wall on Saturday.
Glad to be of help
I have the backstitch on the basket of flowers left to do then the wording. Though before I start the wording I have got to check and double check that my changed of words and font size will fit without looking daft.
Gildius. Brilliant progress!:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi all,
So sorry to hear your sad news b_e_g, I hope you get some answers soon. Sending you big hugs and kind thoughts.
I haven't been posting much but I have been quietly stitching away whilest lurking. I've popped on to finally post some updates.
First is the completed Love you Dad;
And the Party Paws card finally finished;
And my progress so far on Imagine;
I haven't done much at home so no picture of Blackwork cats as not much has been done!
Ladies you need to stop me! I have the threads for some projects and fabrics for others already and am struggling to stop myself buying the missing bits until I've done some of the projects I have already! Sk00bie - yes can see them now, they are all lovely. I especially love the Dad card - where was this design from? I always struggle with cards for men.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

It's by Bent Creek and I ordered it from 1-2-3 Stitch in the US.

Sew and So carry the Love you Mum design but not the Dad one

Oh and it's actually a picture, 5 1/2 inches square stitched on 32ct Linen. I'm sure you could make it into a card though, I considered it myself by stitching on 40ct but decided against it for my first time stiching on linen.Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0
