Anyone remember the Christmas Kisses (margaret sherry) kit from last year (free with WOXS) I came across this today and think its going to be a stitchy project soon but wondered instead of stitching on white aida - what aida might suit it better? I was thinking xmas green ?? but not sure?

Oh and if anyone has this kit, what dmc shade do you think the red/pink are?? oh and light blue too ??

Also the light green 912 (i think) and dark green 911 - if anyone can agree/disagree with me ??

    Evening all

Completed one small magnet today on plastic canvas so will try and get a couple more done before the craft fair.

Just noticed Lizzie Kate in an old magazine and checked her website but can't seem to access the free charts. Also, the LK Ones on Sewandso seem to need really expensive threads. Is this quite normal?

ohh dear mrs-moneypenny how embarrasing. could you not offer to pay for them to replace them instead?? I can imagine postage being extortionte (sp) on them (a courier like myhermes may be cheaper??)

i thought about that but she was clear she wanted her own back and NOW. they are needed for the next booking and having to go shopping wasnt an option. it was a genuine mistake on my part and i put my hand up to it as soon as i realised. postage wasnt as bad as i feared it cost £8.10.

finished a few bits of knitting of tonight that needed ends sewing in and buttons on so too dark to stitch now so am promising myself an hour tomorrow

Hi - I have bought some Lizzie Kate charts and yes when you look at the charts on sew n so, it does automatically give you a shopping list and the threads are expensive  but I have never bought these. *runs upstairs to check*

Ok back after almost tripping over the cat on the stairs who is chasing a spider....

In summary, the lizzie kate charts all have designated threads - the majority of Lizzie Kate Charts I have use both Crescent threads and Weeks threads BUT DMC and Anchor numbers/equivalent are also supplied.

On some of my Lizzie Kate charts sampler threads and overdyed threads are also mentioned. (whatever the hell these are??) seriously why a chart with so many different threads?? anchor OR DMC - much simpler!

CHICKY text the same colour as the background springs to mind.

  • My new book is 'the Twitter diaries' not my normal sort of book; I normally go for crime or true life but it was £1.99 in sainburys and my plan is to be super careful with it and then give it as a part Xmas present, with a dictionary of cakes for niece and nephews mum. Lol that makes me sound really tight, but she won't mind me reading it first
