Well I couln't resist the HAED sale before it ended and my stash has now been enhanced by the following

    Winged Companions

    The Journey

    and for my mum :) ;

    The Pink Rose

These three, plus the two I bought previously will definitely be keeping me busy!
My rough plan is to finish Love you Dad and the blackwork cats, then do Imagine and Joan Elliot's unicorn and then start a HAED!
At the rate I'm going that will be sometime in 2014 :rotfl:

I'm scared to look at my to stitch list though, I'm sure there will be other designs to distract me from my plan!

I can't believe we got a Christmas card with WOXS already, where is the year going! I've yet to make a start on my cards for this year :(
A couple of the other designs from this month's issue have made it to 'might stitch' list ( Where the heart is, Knot garden, Autumn sampler), nothing really leapt out at me.

ETA: Just looked at my list, 33 projects on there including 5 HAEDs :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: oh dear! On the plus side I've actually finished 7 projects this year, mainly smaller things but still, I'm impressed :D
Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:
    XStitch to do list:
    -- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird --
-- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --

    Hello all!

I haven't been on this thread in a while - thought I'd show you an update of the Great Wall of China. It's been coming on thanks to many hours spent stitching in front of the Olympics - got loads done yesterday whilst watching the closing ceremony. Amazing!

At last, there's some actual wall in the picture :)

Gildius... that is some project you have got going there! It's going to look stunning when you've finished it.

Nmm...I would like to have a go at an HAE project but too afraid that it would get dropped as they are so large.
Your stitching is coming along nicely.

Gildius - your "wall" is coming along really well.

nmm - the warm weather is certainly suiting you - good progress.

Sk00bie - I also indulged in the HAED sale. I got just the one in the end, will get the other when they have their next sale. I bought this one http://heavenandearthdesigns.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=160_344&products_id=9208

The thought process goes something like this, give it a go and if I get bored I can always just finish a few of the books and not all of them. Even my husband agrees with this. Waiting for Louise from Across Town to send me an invoice so I can order my fabric and floss - I mean business. I go away to the caravan for 10 days next week and would like to take this with me.

I've very nearly finish A Good Marriage. Have finished all of the words just got some of the blackwork to finish now. Bored with the blackwork though so it's slow progress. Want to have it finished before bed tonight.

Getting a bit disheartened by the welsh chapel now but it is the first thing I have stitched for me for ages, just seem to have loads of faffy bits to do in it and ended up having to buy some more threads as I got in a right old pickle with the ones I had. Hate it when a project becomes a chore :(

Might try one colour block at a time to keep it going and then am itching to have a go at that little blackwork owl that someone else has already done, and carry on with a lovequilts square.

Also saw this the other day and it really appeals atm http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Circle-of-Sports__BOT-XJR12.aspx and loving the circular-ness of it as well

Dorastar - keep going with the Chapel, you'll be really pleased once it's finished. I've not seen that Bothy Thread design, not sure I could cope with it as I like things to be symetrical and I'm not sure I could manage the circle effect. Think it would appeal to lots of people though. Do you think it may come down in price in a while once the Olympic frenzy dies down?

Is already on sale a bit, and I don't need it I just want it, so going to not buy it yet! Now want to stitch something circular - I am so easily persuaded and already have a big pile of stuff to stitch.

Although I have written down the names of all the medal winners just in case cos I thought they would look fab sewn somehow into the design or something.
