Louise & Shelly - thanks for the advice re the charts. I couldn't see why they would be any harder than other charts.

MrsMP - Titantic is looking really good, great progress. I really like the hot air balloons. If you find the pattern and fancy doing it again it might look really nice with each balloon being completed in a different colour - just a thought.

Caroline - I like the designs you have gone for from HAED. I agree with NMM Across Town are a great company, good prices and quick delivery. I would highly recommend them.

World of Cross Stitching was waiting for me when I got home from work :j I haven't looked at it properly yet but I like the look of the free kit :j Immediate reaction on opening mag was excited..... Full review to follow :D

Work was busy today (with it being holiday time) so I was very glad to leave and I'm happy I'm not back until Monday when no doubt I will do it all over again :o I spent a bit too much time doing other people's work today so must crack on with my own on Monday.....

Anyway anyone else watching the diving ? Go Tom Daley :T:T:T :T

Have to say (off topic) that I am so sad at the news today :(:(:( so let me just send lots of hugs all round xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm watching it - Tom is doing well but I'm hoping Pete managed to squeeze through

Regarding the other news, it was horrible to see the report, I'm glad they have found the person they need to question. Poor little girl :(

    Morning all

Re the fizzy moon kit that came with the new issue of World of Cross Stitching - I'm trying to fathom the thread numbers for the 3 red threads and the (light) grey thread (marked with the symbol "C"). any suggestions???

Does anyone know if Across Town Stitching get back to emails quickly. Just worked out the threads I need for my two HAED's and it totals 125 different ones. I have sent them an email asking for a price on this. I seen they do great offers on 50 and 100 so was wondering if they might do an offer on 125.
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

  • Yup she's really good :)

Does anyone know where I can find some smallish dragon charts (sort of like a guardian dragon - see below link) or perhaps a mythical alphabet. Was lookin on HAED and like a couple of their charts and someone mentioned paypal option - dangerous (slap wrist) and got thinking about doing a little stitch for ex who has just found out he has to go back on Dialysis. Joel not thrilled at idea of me putting other ideas aside inc his one to stitch for ex but I just want to do something.

I quite like the 'D'& I' from these. but really dislike the 'Y'... hmm
the other one I like is: http://heavenandearthdesigns.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=87_90&products_id=2497

just wondering if I could somehow tweak the female to look male... hmm. Those that have done the QS ones, How long do they generally take? Hoping I would be ok with the blk, white and grey and not get too bored.

Finally did anyone who buys HAED notice the reward bit.

    Sorry for the long post.

    Cheers

Further to my previous post, does anyone want my issue of Cross Stitcher that I mentioned? Otherwise, I will have to fleabay it on return from my hols.

Sorry to go against the grain but I'm not really into the HAED at all. Just not my taste. GOod luck to those of you starting your first ones though. Look forward to seeing progress.

Took my 'HOme Sweet Home' to the framers this morning. Probably paying way over the odds but I think it is worth it for something I am going to see every day!!
