MMP- Love the updates, especially for the blackwork (how did you find it?- not a technique I've tried) And of course excited to see Titanic updates... It's looking fab. I imagine it's a real labour of love but will be worth it i'm sure!0

thank you
the black work was years ago, so would have to read the instructions again if i was to do another, but i remember it as being really easy once i got used to the basic stitch layout. i dont recall it taking long.
i might have to look if i still have the chart and try perhaps to do the individual balloons as perhaps a birthday card or something.
i am enjoying titanic more 'this time round' after the disaster of the first attempt i didnt think id get back into it but ive dont far more than i did on the scrapped version.SPC~12 ot 124

mrs-mp. Nice update and I love the blackwork balloons.
Shelly - I've seen the full size version but the finished size scares me!! I don't know if I'd ever finish it. I've never stitched a HAED before and not sure how complicated they are over and above a normal chart.
I might get both the Bookends one and the So Many Books. Stash alert
I know what you mean about the finished sizes, scary isn't the word. I'd be worried about getting bored of it way before it was finished.
Though I really like the So Many Books design, it's me to a T. Hubby keeps telling me I have enough books to last me my lifetime.....I got a Book People order arrive today too
It's an interesting comment you make about being complicated though. Personally, even though I have never stitched a HAED, I don't think of them as complicated as such. If they only contain full cross stitches they wont be any harder to follow and/or stitch than a normal chart, just more stitches to do. Imagine they are a normal chart, just bigger/more of it.......do I make sense? (Even to me I'm not sure I do and I know what I'm trying to say :rotfl: ):heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Iknow what you mean and agree.
I have stiched *nearly* 3 HAED's and they aren't complicated at all. Just time consuming because they are so large.
No half stitches and not even any backstitch in the ones I have done, all whole stitches....and lots of 'em! :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. So I managed to resist the HAED sale....well nearly....I only bought two Quickies (but now I know that I can use Paypal to pay....it's dangerous...lol)
I bought this one...

Now have to pop over to eBay to buy the threads as I sold my full set a while ago, because I never seemed to just buy charts, always bought the kits instead as it was easier...Hoping to get the threads quite cheap as one of these charts uses over 40 colours, so probably need to buy about 70 skiens (hoping some of the colours are used in both)
Does WestBBC still trade on eBay, or DMCFree....x;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
Across Town Stitching is probably your cheapest bet for a large order of threads, dodgy looking website but safe & recommended by everyone on hereCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0
