Well think I have made a decision about buying a HAED chart. This one http://heavenandearthdesigns.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=160_344&products_id=9208.

I have a quick question before I buy it. What's the difference between a regular download chart and a large format download chart? Any help appreciated.

It's printed larger and over more pages.

So, while a HAED may be 23 pages for example, if you get it in large format you will find you have 46 pages to work through.

It is sometimes easier to go for the larger print, it seems like it will take longer but in reality you are spurred on as it seems to come together faster

Have managed to find the difference between large and regular and think I prefer the large. However, can you make the pattern larger as you print it off? If so then I can't see why the large is needed.

WHY WHY WHY !!!

I have only ever really flicked through the HAED site before as I thought they were all fairies and gothy looking...but now I have seen the Wizard of Oz one and I want it...I also want the Hickory Dickory Dock one...Looked through to see if there was any other "fairy tale" ones in the QS section, as I am thinking of maybe doing them for my baby's room (he's now 16 months, but still my baby), but couldn't really see any other ones I liked...Shame my money doesn't go in until the sale is finished, although the prices are still great anyway...

Of for another nosy (sleep doesn't matter when you see stash....lol)

Louise - thanks for your advice re the size of the chart. I'm going to go "large".

Shelly - I've seen the full size version but the finished size scares me!! I don't know if I'd ever finish it. I've never stitched a HAED before and not sure how complicated they are over and above a normal chart.

I might get both the Bookends one and the So Many Books. Stash alert

hope everyone is well
promised myself a busy day today supposed to be packing but HAD TO finish the smoke coming out of the first funnel then had to do some other stuff so this afty is going to be uber busy, packing cakemaking tidying.
cant say im hugely enthuiastic about the holiday this year but the kids need it and if i can sit on the beach knitting stitching or reading it wont be all bad.

My favourite Magazine just dropped through the door - World of Cross Stitching

Free Gift - Fizzy moon xmas card. Quite sweet

Where the heart is - It's not often I will like a cottage-y design but this one looks lovely and wouldn't take too long to do.

Letters page - no sign of the pic I sent in (didn't even get a reply to my email tbh)

Little Rascals - Some cute designs there for animal lovers

Beauty & Grace - three ballerinas. I doubt I would stitch the pink one but my daughter and niece would appreciate the other ones.

Craft Xtra - Yuk, I REALLY don't like the bear/sunflower

Knot Garden - Don't like it at all

Summer Memories - AOY - It's lovely, although I don't stitch many of these it's mainly due to time restrictions. (It would be lovely to stitch for someone with 5 grandchildren, the boy/girls could be changed slightly to suit)

Design Library - Woodland Fun - I'm sure some of them may be useful

Pg 57 - Apparently readicut has a new disney range - price seems reasonable. I need to see what other designs they have

Acorn Sampler - Not for me. Too dull

Cupcake of he flippping month - I'll be glad when these are finished. Obviously I won't be stitching them lol

Pg 68 - Loving all the Stash secrets (I daren't share mine with them lol)
The woman with LOADS of drawers for all her threads - Wow. I would love to have. so much space that I could do that lol

Playtime ABC - I would only use individual letters to make a card, couldn't see me doing a whole name with those letters.

Autumn Window - Not so keen on this one, I preferred the summer window

Friendship angels - Cute but not something I would stitch


Overall - not too much to add to my To Do list this month...but I guess that's a good thing really :rotfl:
