Evening everyone...I'm a day late in posting my update this week...just realised there appears to be a storm brewing on my pic but its not that dark in real life lol

Your storm brewing comment made me smile! :D It really does look like it, I can even see the falling rain in the distance.

Not done any actual stitching for ages now, just don't seem to be able to gather any motivation, does anyone else feel guilty when they don't do any?, I think I do because of the money I spend on it (when we dont have much, even though I usually use any bday money or Xmas money I get) for it to turn just sit there doing nothing seems a waste!

I know how you feel. I too feel bad on days I don't stitch. I don't know why, I am only pleasing myself afterall.
On days I don't feel like it it's not worth forcing myself because then I make lots of silly mistakes, have to unpick it all, then get cross with it and don't pick up my needle for days.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

I've just had a quick look at the DMC threads on 123stitch (http://www.123stitch.com/DMC_Six_Strand_Floss.html) and compared a few random numbers (they have pics of the colours), to some of my own, and from what I can tell, they look the same.
But if anyone else wants to have a quick check for me, I would appreciate it!

ETA. I just asked about it on the '15' fb group, and they said that the DMC colours are the same. *phew* Better to have been safe than sorry though!

Maybe it's Anchor then ;) That's very good to know, I shall have to remember that.

I can't believe that it's been a year since Steven died - all the best to you and your family xox
  • flower of scotland..... it was recorded... in fact i got told off for bleeding all over the pharmecy cos everyone is blood phobic at that store. At the end of the day it doesnt matter anymore. it wont change a thing because what happened in the last 3 days of my working there doesnt change that payroll messed up as always and they thought they could blame it on me. And I thought that if it was their fault for the error I didnt have to pay in back. I was wrong. They were wrong.
I have strong inclinations to hunt ex manager down, and I have to restrain my OH everytime we go near the store (yes I still shop in boots due to money saving reasons) to stop him lamping the TM who has also out right lied.

    sigh.
    much calmer today. :D

Though I do realise not quiet finished as butterfly needs "coulouring in" but apart from that..... et voila!
I Love My Library....when I finish/don't like a book, no one gets upset when I return it!

PP sorry to hear what your former employer has put you through, this happened to me in the past i realised as soon as the money went in it wasnt mine they paid me full time and i only worked part time (id handed my notice in just as a new firm took over my company) because i realised i didnt spend the money i just rang them and wrote a cheque straight out then they did it again the next month i worte to them and sent another cheque along with the message that as i had pointed out THEIR mistake and retouned two lots of money promptly if it happened again i would keep te money as it was their negligence. funny thing they never did make the mistake again they never bothered thanking me either!! --your lion and butterfly stitch looks lovely

    have a good day all

b_e_g - forgot to say yesterday I think your windmill looks lovely. We did a Sun holiday, with the crossing paid for with Tesco vouchers (how MSE), to Holland last spring and this reminds me so much of the scenes we drove past.

Haha! No problem – I will have to dig out my camera!

Im glad that sew and so are good – it was an impulse thing of googling cross-stitch and going into the first site! Before I knew it I had been to the check-out and paid for my order!!

Ah well, at least my weekend will be spent doing something constructive rather than doing sweet f.a!

Oh, and while I know Winnie the pooh kits are a bit lame, its been a long time since I stitched so want something easy and cute to ease me back in!
