No update from me this week because I have picked London up again. I have been inspired by Soulie and will be working on three projects at once and flit between them. The third will be the MP bookmark, need to order it.
I purchased a Siesta frame and wocs with my hobbycraft birthday money but I didn't get on with the frame very well and have moved back to my hoop. Am I strange? However this month wocs is amazing, I love nearly all the springtime charts from the booklet so I hope I can make a huge sampler of them all... one day :rotfl: Must say it pays to shop around, found a kit after visiting an advert in wocs and its actually nearly £4 cheaper on ebay (from an ebay shop)! I know its £4 but thats a huge amount really. Needless to say I have bookmarked the kit for a later date, have too much just now0 -

grrr today has been swings and round abouts. Furious at previous employer. It is clear to me now that they are unable to admit that yeah they did make a mistake but I have to pay back to overpayment. Instead they have to lie and slander. stupid. The only reason I was fighting is because the way they worded it made it seem like if it had been their fault and not mine (which they are still admient it was) then I wouldnt have to pay it. It has now been explained cutousey of one of the other boards, regardless whose right, i still have to pay it back. Now if someone had calmly dicussed that with my 9 months ago I would have added it onto my debt figuer and worked it far far away. Instead I have a nice new debt that I'm comited to and I'm currently between jobs again. (new one should start friday fingers crossed which is the good part of the day, 4 recruitment companies calling me up with interveiws and job specs)
I am so tempted to get my mate to drive me to leamington spa to literally punch my ex manager. and I'm not a violent person. I'm a happy stitchy person. But when hes the one that has lied about what happened bullied me when i was there, caused me injury and has now had the nerve to right in a letter " ***** went off sick due to a minor injury that most people would ignore" err he wasnt in that day, I sliced m finger right through to the bone on a sheered bottle of nail polish during delieryy and fainted due to shock/low blood sugar. yep I'm sure EVERYONE would ignore that.
GRRR
anway,,, back to my "keep calm" coasters......maybe they will subliminally work on my mind frame.I Love My Library....when I finish/don't like a book, no one gets upset when I return it!Starting 2107lbs this month = 5.5Total loss = 5.5Too many UFOs to count:EasterBun0 -

Soulie, I've heard that the US thread numbers don't always correspond to our thread numbers, which is why I've not risked ordering any from the US yet.
I've just had a quick look at the DMC threads on 123stitch (http://www.123stitch.com/DMC_Six_Strand_Floss.html) and compared a few random numbers (they have pics of the colours), to some of my own, and from what I can tell, they look the same.
But if anyone else wants to have a quick check for me, I would appreciate it!
ETA. I just asked about it on the '15' fb group, and they said that the DMC colours are the same. *phew* Better to have been safe than sorry though!postingalwaysposting wrote: »No update from me this week because I have picked London up again. Yay, maybe next year you will join in with the '15' Challenge
I think that was where my problem was, I would get bored very easily on one project, but since I have been rotating, I have stitched EVERY day (apart from the day I was ill, and the other two days I spent winding bobbins lol).blue_eyed_girl wrote: »

Looking good!
In other news, I am off to scan the eagle 'Silent Flight' chart, and grid out the fabric, as that is my project for today.
When I started the '15' challenge, I knew I was going to include the eagle, so I made sure it would fall on today's date, as today is the first anniversary of my brother's death.
It's gone by soooooo quickly, but I still can't quite believe it happened.
At the moment, I am struggling to understand why the inquest ruled an open verdict on my brother's death, yet at least two other's who died around the same time, and in similar situations have been ruled as 'accidental'.
Also I am still fuming about the police cover up, but that is another story
Anyways, here's to Steven :beer:13 Projects in 2013 Finished: 5 of 13

Thanks for that. I have a really boring denim jacket that I want to do one of the Ed Hardy patterns on. Can't decide whether I fancy a bird or a butterfly. Thought I might try just doing one at the top of the sleeve first to see how it goes.0

PerfectParadox - ARGG Managers!!!! Hope they let you pay it off "as much as you can afford" e.g. £1 a month!! :j My dad did that when he left a job YEARS ago, they said they'd overpaid him, all their fault etc but he still had to pay back. However he could do it on his terms. He agreed.........at £1 a week. After a year they couldn't be bothered to take any more.
I'm still left in limbo over my verbal warning. My manager at the time agreed it would be too much stress on me/ baby to do it while i was pregnant (so around 9 months ago now) and it would be done when I got back. I've now been back since November - that manager has moved on, her replacement has left and it's not been mentioned. I've raised it (in random conversations with higher managers) and it's never been followed up. Does anyone know how long it can be left before it gets written off? I know if only stays on my record 6m once delivered (so would be off by now had they done it before I went off).
Soulie - A year already, it doesn't seem that long ago.
here's to Steven
I wanted to stitch tonight but have some job applications to write (can you tell I am realllly hacked off with work) Trouble is last time I did an application form it was in 2009. and I KNOW I had a secondment since then but can't for the life of me remember when it was nor do I have the energy to get back out of bed and unearth the paperwork I might find it in.

*sneaks in quietly and pretends to have been here the whole time
and not off galavanting for a week *
Evening ladies
My haven't you all been busy!
Well my dad has been and we have had a lovely time with him and his new lady friend (who is really nicewhich was a relief as it was the first time I have met her and she spent 3 days with us!).
The kids (and me) have been utterly spoiled rotten, and it was just what I needed!
Just a shame they have headed off home to France again today. A week (split up between me and my sister) just isn't long enough. As soon as I am well France here I come.. well thats the theory anyway.
On the health front my GP decided that the 6th Feb is fine for an appointment date for Cardiology. Clearly he is not the one at home worrying but heyho.
So haven't had much time for stitching. Until today, when I thought I would give my freebie kit from Cross stitch crazy a go. Finished all the full stitches, was just starting on the half stitches and realised a whole colour of thread is missing!and I am not certain whether it is mint green or light mint green. Not impressed at all.
I had a bee in my bonnet so I have emailed one of the editors and said I am not happy as the kit is incomplete.
Has anyone else had the same problem? Or is mine just a one off?
As for on the beach, it is still not finished *hangs head in shame* as my dad had no spare bagage weight there seemed no point in rushing it. It will be done and posted before christmas... I hope :rotfl:.
Just a note to all who I promised;) to, I haven't had time to do them yet sorry (my dad said "can I take you out for a meal?" on Saturday, and it would have been rude not to
) they will be emailed out tomorrow.
Tonight is feet up with "Mrs Brown" on the box and a nice cuppa in hand night.
Happy stitching everyone xxx
