talking of cross stitcher - do I recall they had a keep calm design recently ? I am sure I saw a keep calm design but can't remember which issue /QUOTE]

There are some Keep Calm designs in the issue of Cross Stitch Crazy that dropped through my door today. I'm not sure which ones but I'm sure there is ......and Take a Break, Eat a Cupcake and 2 others. Once dh has got the girls to sleep I will nip up and take a look for you. If they're any good I'll ask dh to help me ;).

Can anyone remember the army alphabet which was in either WOXS or Cross stitcher?

I have been searching for it but can't find it at all, can anyone remember which mag it was in?

Failing that, if someone knows of any free army style designs online, please point them out :j Just looking for little ones for coasters.

Also, I like this design but not the colour of the material its been stitched on. What colour aida would you use (I think aida over evenweave?)

Love this design but then I am a huge LK fan. I like the linen but then we all have different tastes. If I was to change the fabric I would go for something with a lurex thread in it so it sparkles like sunshine on snow. This is the sort of thing I mean http://www.craftykitten.co.uk/opalescents-22-c.asp

Just though I would mention that I have this chart http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Snowman-10-Chart__LIZ-LKS94.aspx
    which is a similar style.

I'm sure it will stitch up beautifully whatever you choose.

Have just sorted out threads and fabric for my first new start of 2012. It's a Lizzie Kate (what a surprise:D) - Angel Stocking for a niece

Think it will be faster to stitch than the Shepherds Bush ones I have stitched in the past = these are the ones I did this year and they take a long time

I've joined the Thrifty Gifty thread on here where the aim is go be "money neutral" on gifts in 2012 and one of the ways I will be aiming to do this is by making some gifts from stash I already have. So the plan is this will be a September birthday present with no cost in 2012

    Some great finishes ladies.

Trying to convince myself that I should finish one design before i start another but it's sooooo tough!!! I've got a basket full on SewandSo but will not complete and pay just yet. THere just aren't enough hours in the day to stitch everything I'd like to.

Did pick up a bargain of some old (some from 2000 and 2002) magazines in my local sewing shop for 50p charity contribution. Love looking at the old designs - shame some of the companies they mention aren't still going.

    Just a quick hello.

nmm - czar looks great. Hope you are recovering from your trip.

Looking forward to seeing your progress with your xmas stocking flowerofscotland - love the design.

Feeling much better now than at the beginning of the week and have just been plodding away with Tulip Field. Don't think there is much on tv tonight so might get some more stitching done and will try to post update pic tomorrow.

    Hope everyone is ok.

Hi all, I am currently looking for this chart booklet from Stoney Creek.
I know sewandso have a lot of the Stoney Creek booklets but I couldn't find that particular one, nor have I been able to find it else where in the UK (I presume because it is VERY american), but I only really want it for the eagle and flag chart.

So if anyone comes across it either in the UK or even from a US website that will ship to the UK (at a reasonable price), please give me a shout.
I'm not in a huge rush for it, as I have another eagle chart to do first, so if you all could just keep a look out, I will very much appreciate it. Thanks!
