talking of cross stitcher - do I recall they had a keep calm design recently ? I am sure I saw a keep calm design but can't remember which issue and I still haven't got everything straight after christmas after my ([STRIKE]tidy stuff up [/STRIKE] i.e. its xmas, chuck everything in a cupboard/spare bedroom marathon) never to be seen again.....

Also, I like this design but not the colour of the material its been stitched on. What colour aida would you use (I think aida over evenweave?)

Thats a difficult querstion Flat Eric due to all the white stitches- I'd say black but think that would look wierd, how about an oatmeal or something similar? or maybe light blue

when stitching 2 handed I have my left on top and right underneath. I'm right handed and I think I do it that way way because my right hand is more coordinated without the help of being able to see it than my left.

I'm the same elliep, tried it both ways, but if I can't see my left hand it's like it doesn't belong to me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Pale blue would look nice, but I would then change the colour of the scarf as well.

Can anyone remember the army alphabet which was in either WOXS or Cross stitcher?

I have been searching for it but can't find it at all, can anyone remember which mag it was in?

Failing that, if someone knows of any free army style designs online, please point them out :j Just looking for little ones for coasters.

I'd probably go for a light green. :)

Edit to add: Just read back what I typed and it sounded like I just didn't like the scarf lol. :oThe only reason I would change the scarf would be to avoid blue thread on the blue background.

The keep calm design was about the time the mag changed its look, so over a year ago. I'll have a quick look for that issue...

Found it! Issue 230. Oct 2010.
