B-e-g - your IT crowd looks great. Where did you get your frame from? I have the border and part of the fellow in the black top completed. Need to get a wriggle on as it's for hubby's birthday next Wednesday.
The frame came from £world Aislb. £land had some black A4 frames cert frames but they had a gold line around them. Wilkos had plain black ones for about the £2.50 mark. Good hunting.

Morning everyone and thank you for the very warm welcome!
Quite amusingly, the weather here isn't much different to the UK (in that it's raining now and rained for most of yesterday too) and in all honesty the heat and humidity are more than a bit energy zapping - I would kill for a frosty morning but the closest I get is opening the freezer door for a second. I won't mention the weather again, I promise!
This is my first priority to get finished. This poor thing has been to the Alps and back once, then to the Far East and back two and a half times so far. It is a black labrador cross stitch but in wool for a 16"x16" cushion for my vet sister. It was supposed to be for her 30th birthday (...nearly 18 months ago...) so it will be a big surprise for her when I finally finish it!
I tried to post a photo BUT got the following message: Sorry as a new user you are not allowed to post with links. This is done to stop spammers clogging up the site. Please edit your message below to continue.
So hopefully by the time I finish it, I'll be allowed to put a photo on!
Would like to get it finished by Friday but the best laid plans and all that ...!!
Hope you all have a good day

Oh no mead think you have to post a certain number of messages before it will let you do links, if you don't mind me asking what is hubbies job? You go all over the place
Hoping to get good marriage finished today, if everything for a to plan!13 in 2013 challenge 9/130 -
MrsF - good luck with the cushion. I have promised my son a tiger one for his room but it's quite a way down my list of "to do's".
Maria - I love this. It would make a nice quote on a stitched piece - goes off to pnder - if only I knew how to use sites that chart things. I still use the old graph paper and pencil method.:D
Managed a bit to a Good Marriage.

And here's the first picture of the Rainbow Tree as promised. This is the one on 11 count and stitched with 2 threads (in error).

Picked up my Tiger again last night and remembered why I am hating stitching it. Using satin thread, 6 strands with 1 strand of blending filiment - it's horrible. Will try to persevere. Would really like to have it finished before we go on holiday in 2 weeks time.
Off to awards assembly at sons school now. They sorted the music lessons so happy with them again.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

.
Ailsb - I have used this site a couple of times. It is quite basic though and maybe not what you are looking for. Love the colours of Tree pic . Good progress made with Good Marriage - I would love to add it to my 'to do' list sometime. LK has some lovely stuff. Stick with the tiger - it will be worth it in the end.
Building up furniture today - looking forward to actually getting clothes out of wardrobes instead of temp rail, boxes or from Mums.
Have a good day everyone.

Thanks for the link BEG have used tis site before - but had forgotten about it. Hvae charted the wording and think it may look good inthe middle of a patchwork (that's something else I dabble in) cushion on my carft room - it's really the spare bedroom that I've taken over!!
Think I may take this away with me as it's not too complicated or bulky. Will probably stitch in variable thread as it will be quick then as well. Holiday project here I come.
Also like this saying.... Have you ever considered why STRESSED is DESSERTS backwards!Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Now all we need is for someone to volunteer to chart this for us all to stitch
Lizzie Kate has a couple of charts with similar sentiments

and
