  • Oh for goodness sake, I give up, I really do!
It was HUGE! Bigger than the card itself! Then I edited it smaller - but it didn't seem to have worked. I go away for 20 minutes and it has self resized! Argh!

    Thanks Subtle-minx.

    Hello Ladies
Well, I managed it just in time!
    fathersdaydone.jpg
Yay! Unfortunately DH saw me stitching it, but that has made him realise how much work went in to it!
Not bad for a free kit!

Flat Eric- I love that Margaret Sherry design - if its the one I am thinking of. That said I like all of her designs lol.

    Have a lovely day everyone!
And hugs to those who need them today xxx (and sorry if my pic upsets anyone xxx)
    AMx

    That's beautiful.

Well, time for me to start a new big design, so need to go through cupboard and decide which one from about 40  to do next......

Have a great day everyone (just been to the churchyard with flowers, so thinking of those who are remembering loved ones today x)

this is the beside the sea kit that I found the other day but no chart. Does anyone recongise this / know what issue of Cross Stitcher it came from ???

I would also be interested to know whether any of you have come across thread bobbins that are similar to the link I have posted but which have slots in the middle on both sides? I do have some in my stash and have no idea where they came from but they are much easier for starting to wind the thread on.

Afternoon everyone (((hugs))) to everyone who has lost their Father so today is more poignant :( xxx

I have been busy stitching this weekend, but not on Circe

I made a card, laminated it and cable tied it to a support for the cemetery:

Made a coaster for DS2's teacher - nearly end of term for us:

Finally finished a small card I started a while back:

Annoyed with myself that I have put my other small designs away somewhere 'safe' and can't flipping find them to sort them out  Ah well.

Also, I don't think I mentioned on here - my mum was away in for her operation on Friday, seems to have went well, need to wait 3 weeks for lymph node results. However my sister went into labour the same day so I have a new little niece, :D so I am halfway through a card for her as well. She was 10lb 9 - my poor sister, she's so petite herself, I dunno how she produced a girl that size

louise- wow you've been busy!, puts me to shame, lol.
I think the fathers day card is a lovely idea and should withstand the weather for a good while.
congrats on the new neice, eek 10lb. i love the coaster for teacher, bet she'll be really touched. What is peration? (feel free to tell me to go google) anyway hope she is ok.

right off to watch Fringe and poss do some more of my geisha.

Ooh, on the off chance does anyone have a chart of 'spoiled rotton cats' that they no longer want.

Subtle - minx - sorry can't help with the chart.

Louise - you've been so busy again. The card for your Dad looks like it should stand up to the weather even our wonderful summers!!!

FlatEric - I use the bobbins that you have linked to but have never seen any that have the slots top and bottom.

Well as promised here's the pictures of my framed MP wedding sampler and the trio of Tree Frogs.
