Does anyone know where to get a pink towel cross stitch kit. I have decided that a lap tray may be over ambitious at this stage and instead I could give my mum a personalised hand towel/flannel for her birthday. She is bed bound so has to have bed baths so I think it will be a nice gift.

    Thanks

There's some here but not sure if they are more for younger children and babies, you could always put your own design on them though.

    Or what about dissolvable aida?

Cheers for that, I have messaged them asking for the shade of pink. said they could refer to Dmc colours, lol

I thought about that too, also possibly dying a white towel and attaching an aida band but trying to keep simple as poss.

I've been busy doing housework and general tidying up today so haven't actually sat down yet and done any stitching.

Plan for this evening (I think) is to watch the new muppets movie so I'm not sure I will get much done then either.

I still have housework to do (groan) but rather than save it all for tomorrow, I've done as much as I can today which should free up time tomorrow although have family coming round and meal to cook.

I hope everyone has had a lovely day.

You know when to stop stitching when you can no longer tell if your head torch is running out of juice or if you eyes are just blurring and everything looks dimmer because your too tired. Right hint taken, stitching away for the night, sooo little progress for sooo much time... one day i'll be a faster stitcher :)

    Night all

Flat-Eric - thanks (I think) for the link to the DMC site. There are some decent charts on it.

Anaeres - you are making really good progress on your large kit, well done. As for your new one that's really up my street and quite similar to the large one that I am (trying) to do, although I've made very little progress on it.

Subtle-minx - you've given me an idea for a Christmas present for my little great nephew. I might stitch him a small towel. Has anyone done one, do they wash ok once the band has been stitched?

On stitchy news, I have framed the MP Wedding Sampler, second time I've done this as it didn't frame properly the first time. I have also finished the Trio of Tree frogs and have started to frame them. Hopefully I will finished the framing today and get a picture of both of them on her later.

    Morning all

I hope this finds you all well. I've already got the curry on the hob for tea tonight and I'm just waiting for Tescoids to turn up with my shopping. Then its a bit more housework and tidying up before (I hope) an afternoon of stitching.

As per usual, I can't make up my mind what to stitch but I'm thinking a Margaret Sherry design called perfect partners - its two cats sat on a swing. This was a free gift with Cross Stitcher.

OR I might stitch a free Country Companions design of the hedgehog with some flowers. Decisions decisions. Or I might start the Country Companions Cricket design I have.

Hmmmm I wish i wasn't so indecisive and that i stuck to one thing!
  • Hello Ladies
Well, I managed it just in time!

Yay! Unfortunately DH saw me stitching it, but that has made him realise how much work went in to it!
Not bad for a free kit!

Flat Eric- I love that Margaret Sherry design - if its the one I am thinking of. That said I like all of her designs lol.

    Have a lovely day everyone!
And hugs to those who need them today xxx (and sorry if my pic upsets anyone xxx)

Looks great and I don't think it is too big at all...slightly small. Did you resize it? Well done on getting finished. I've already had a little stitch this morn on my oriental exchange piece. Not overly keen on fractionals, they always look wrong to me. Oh well.

    Have a lovely day everyone
