Louise, I love Darth! And everytime I read it in someone's post I hear Tim Minchin singing "I can have a dark side too" ! (sorry can't link YouTube on this)
    Also your storage looks fantastic.

Re that wooden box, it's beautiful but I've seen Original 1930s one from Coats crafts ect at Antiques Fairs for similar money... I'm ever hopeful I'll find one cheaply at the tip shop!

Soulie - coming along well. How are you enjoying the variety of working on different things?

I finally found time (amid ongoing car/wall insurance issues, and seeing the Queen in Corby on wed), to open my Celtic Rose hand dyed fabric... And it is very lovely! The greys are misty, the purples don't have harsh lines so I'm chuffed with my first piece of special fabric :)

Instead of drinking or eating chocolate when giving up with the car repairers on the phone (my car was due today but despite me phoning most days to check they didnt bother to tell me there w no chance!), I did a bit more on *that bookmark. I've decided to mount it on felt as it won't fit the backing card provided.
Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!

    AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

just got my child tax credit rebate (was hoping for some as had mat leave during the last year) HOWEVER almost keeled over when it was nearly £2000.

Knowing that couldn't possibly be correct I have looked and in my "work it out while stressing at kids" mode i'd not read the "you only get £100 a week deduction for mat pay (£2,600) and had gone by what my p60 said my mat pay was (£4,250). so now I'm gonna have to ring them AGAIN and see if they will change it and wait to see how much of it they want back.

THEN check they are not going to base this years money on last years figures cause then i'll be overpaid for this year.

This is not what I want to be spending tomorrow morning doing!!!

    ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

On the plus side my dinosaur ABC arrived today so I can take it away next week when I go to my mums - YAYAY.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

I thought it might have been but I wasn't sure.

I quite fancy doing something involving flags because they always seem to come up in quiz questions - I'm guessing flags would be relatively easy to stitch and it would be a good way to learn whilst enjoying my hobby at the same time.

Whilst on the subject of projects I would like to do, while rummaging in my stash yesterday, I found a free cross stitcher kit of a boat design with three sea themed charms. (one of which I think is a sea urchin)

I have the thread/aida/charms and picture but no chart! The kit doesn't say which mag the kit is from?

I got it here: New stitches

However, it is titled 'Europe 2006' so I don't know if you will still be able to get it? I will try and look mine out, but I know it wasn't in the best condition as it was on one huge sheet so there was a lot of folds (I prefer lots of A4 pages to work from) but I will check

I had a feeling it was you!

ETA - it looks like its available from the stitchdirect.com website. Its available in chart format (£15.95/£19.14????) and kit format £56.87 ). I think it might be something I buy with my sealed pot money!

shall I save my sealed pot money for this ???

    That is beautiful

I did treat myself a few years ago, and got the complete set of threads for about £150 from ebay. Didn't think ahead, and only when I opened the parcel did I realise that they were in no kind of order.

Took many nights of winding them onto bobbins, and sorting into numerical order, and in the process went from 2 boxes of threads to 6.

I keep looking at the complete set of Satin Threads, they've been on my watch list for 3 months now.

Hope everyone has a good weekend
